Breaking news here at Young Hollywood.
Jessica Stroup has a daughter.
Willow.
It's happened.
It's happened.
Oh my gosh.
We're all so obsessed.
I'm totally that girl right now who like has her little dog with her wherever we're going.
But I mean it's Willow so, you know, she she hangs.
Well, I saw the picture of her with the boots.
The little booties she had on.
They're ridiculous.
And they make funny noises.
They're like little Lubus.
They're so cute.
So you're filming The Following in New York all season.
Finally you're back.
How is that weather?
There she goes.
Oh.
Well, thanks for coming in for the photo op Willow.
See you girl.
Bye.
How was the weather?
Um Oh my God.
So I've been in California for all these years and I I thought I'd miss the boat going to New York, you know, I was like I'm getting too old for it, All right.
It's not gonna happen but it did and I'm there and I love it and um I mean the experience of filming in New York is uh is is so similar to to LA but uh I I get to see the city, you know, like I get to explore and and learn about.
Did you live in the city?
You actually lived in New York City while you were filming or no?
I've been in Brooklyn.
I think you have an older brother that you yeah.
And I you said something about how he's so excited that you did the show cause you know how to throw a punch.
Yeah, yeah, I do.
I want lessons because just in case I ever need to know how to throw a punch, can you teach me?
Oh, we can work on it.
Yeah.
Do you do cuz this is a thing, do you do the the thumbs out, right?
I got I don't know if this is correct but yeah, I go with I don't know.
We have a guy in here.
Just thumb out.
We're gonna do this as ladies.
Ladies who can throw a punch.
Yes.
Uh okay, I would say make sure you're guarding your face.
Guard your face, especially when you're in the business.
If you're gonna be going at somebody, Yeah.
You want to put your body weight into it.
Don't just swing your back and away.
Right, this arm isn't gonna do much.
Swing and go.
But why not talk first, you know, okay, we'll talk.
Try not try not to throw a punch unless it really is needed.
So, I did I read that you spoke with FBI agents in NYPD like sort of preparing for this role?
Yeah.
I Kind of dirt.
Did they give you anything good?
Um well, they've all been very professional.
They can't tell you, they can only tell you so much.
Well, I kind of just like anytime I see a cop now, I'll go up to them and be like, hey.
I play a cop on TV.
We're on the level.
I get you man.
Thank you for your work.
And and like usually I do this as much as I can actually and like Usually they've actually seen The Following and they're like, oh cool, you know, and you get a picture but I think I'm just trying to make friends with the cops so that you know.
Yeah, we gotta talk your way out of something.
Now, do you know how to talk your way out of a ticket now that you've played a cop?
No.
You're not playing that kind of cop on the show anyway.
That'll never we'll never learn.
You're not a traffic cop on The Following.
Everything I've tried has failed before.
This is what's really funny too about the show.
Because your wardrobe on 90210 to die for.
This is such a different wardrobe and I think I read you said like you used to be in wardrobe every day for 90210 and now for The Following.
It's like once a month cuz it's all the same kind of suit.
I mean.
It's kind of ridiculous.
I actually took this from Silver's closet uh this this like this thing here with Shaw thing I'm wearing here.
Uh yeah Silver from 90210.
I would have about once a week.
I mean we'd there were long fittings though because I'd you know we'd wear like three or four different outfits per episode.
Fabulous outfits.
Fabulous outfits.
Yeah.
However, uh The Following I I just wear pantsuits every day.
How do you make a pantsuit look sexy?
I do not know.
I really do not know.
We had to like there's nothing sexy about it.
We'd put uh fake belt loops on there because I'm I'm not only wearing like a high pantsuit blazer situation which is like great, you know, if you're I'm not used to it.
So it was new for me.
I I understand.
The belt loop, uh I I had like my gun on it.
I had handcuffs on it.
I had my badge on it.
And then like that's a good reason to have a belt.
But they're not even like we had to fix it onto these pants that aren't meant to have a belt.
Oh my gosh.
It was just I'd had like bruises on my hip bones.
Did you ever feel like a badass having the gun though?
I mean it's gotta be cool and the badge and the whole thing.
Yeah.
I had my favorite my favorite moment uh in the finale uh I'm walking around, we're we're in this mansion uh we're I'm coming around a corner and kind of stalking through a room.
And I have my gun, you know, and like there's some squib hits going off, some uh sort of fake explosions that look like gunfire going off around me.
And uh and it was actually snowing outside, but I was right next to a window with these blinds and there's a a big light coming in from outside and uh there's like smoke and stuff and I'm going through creeping through like the shadows, you know, and I like I feel like a badass.
This is my moment.
Do you do this too?
Like a badass.
That's That's what I'm talking about.
It's like you got the head cocked to the side.
I'm a badass.
Just looking around my own gun.
Where is it?
Where is it?
How do you stay in shape?
And how do you sort of like cuz I know for this show you have to do so many stunts, but you have I mean you have a sick body.
How do you sort of eat fresh, stay in shape?
What are you?
Um I'm always working on like eating better.
There's always, you know, like a better uh more water, um less sodas.
I sometimes do that.
But it's so tempting though, isn't it?
But like I, you know, I I uh I eat throughout the day.
I'm absolutely a bird.
I I eat until I'm full.
I don't like go overboard with anything.
As far as working out, I think it's just about moving as much as you can and um I have a trainer who's awesome.
He's like my older brother, but he's but he's not but he kicks my butt so.
Right.
It was so good to have you back.
Thanks.
Thank you.
This was really, really fun.
I appreciate it.
Is it okay if we don't give Willow back?
