So as we're pulling out of the uh drive the park and they was like, yo. And I was like, what it wasn't me, it was whatever it is, I didn't do it. Yes. I love you too.

Young Hollywood

Kinsey here at the Young Hollywood Studio and I am hanging out with Michael Kenneth Williams. You are the Boardwalk Bad Boy. Yes. How do you feel about that?

Michael Kenneth Williams

I feel great, man. I have a lot of fun.

Young Hollywood

A lot of people are going to recognize you as Omar from The Wire. And you said that for a while after The Wire, people were actually addressing you as Omar and you couldn't help but answer them. Are you like in the produce section right now at the Ralph's and hey, Chucky White.

Michael Kenneth Williams

No, still actually seven out of 10 people still call me Omar.

Young Hollywood

Those people need to Google you. Yeah. They need to get familiar.

Michael Kenneth Williams

I'm still riding the wave, so as long as you say, "Hey, where's my $20?" No, no. You want to call me Omar, I'm good with that. Four boys dead in that warehouse. Half a dozen wounded. Meaning what exactly? Meaning. You go school these crackers.

Young Hollywood

Do you remember the first time you were recognized? And how did that make you feel?

Michael Kenneth Williams

I just this is that's a two-prong, uh incident. Um one time I was um to uh to homegirls of mine and we pulled up for some gas in Brooklyn. And these dudes are out the car. And they were like, "Yo." And I was like, "What it wasn't me, you know. It was whatever it is, I didn't do it." And and um um they went on to talk about the wire. I was like, they came at me with so much energy. I actually forgot that I was on the show. Oh my gosh. And uh another time I was at my mom and we was um doing some fish shopping down in Chinatown. And um so as we're pulling out of the uh drive the park and space. Um these three girls. They ran in front of the car. They were like, "Hey, how are you doing? How are you doing?" And I was like, "Hurry up, come on, come on, we gotta go, we gotta go." And she she thought about she was like, "So um, you know those girls?" I was like, "No." What they calling for you for? I said, "You know, mom, on this little show called The Wire." Oh, it's no big deal. It's I'm going to this little thing called The Wire, maybe you've heard of it. Yeah. Will you check my homework? You're asking Daddy? Your mama do that for you. Your brother know I'm too strict. He know who bring home the bacon. Can I play with you later with you? Play with me, baby. Oh, are we best friends? Yes.

Young Hollywood

Would you rather, would you rather be able to fly or have the ability to read people's minds?

Michael Kenneth Williams

I would love to be able to fly.

Young Hollywood

Really? Where would you go?

Michael Kenneth Williams

I would just like hover. No, you know, um, there's something about you know. I've um that from a kid I just come from the front room and like near break my neck jumping leaping from the dresser to to the bed, you know, and flight. It's hilarious.

Young Hollywood

Would you rather have the power of invisibility or never need to do laundry ever again?

Michael Kenneth Williams

Oh, invisibility. That you don't need to read people's minds, because you can just get invisible and just go around there when they don't see you and then you you hear what they what they're saying. But get this, if you're invisible, you don't need clean laundry, cuz you could be naked and nobody knows. Oh, how cool would that be to just free ball. All day, every day. Just let them hang, you know. That's like the story of my life. I love it.

Young Hollywood

Would you rather have Christmas every day or be in Chuck Norris's new B F F?

Michael Kenneth Williams

Christmas every day.

Young Hollywood

Really? Would you get presents every single day?

Michael Kenneth Williams

I would give. I like to give.

Young Hollywood
