Kate Voegele Shares Her New Songs

What's up, you guys? I'm Kate Vogel and here's my song heart and chains. It's been a week since I've heard your voice now. You know it seems like 100 years. It's hard to sleep. It's a bit alarming. I'm a mess when you're not here.

I'm Oliver Trevena here at the Young Hollywood Studio with this gorgeous and extremely talented young lady, Kate Vogel. How are you?

I'm great. How are you doing?

I'm good. You got your new album coming out?

I do. I do. Gravity happens.

Gravity happens. Yes, quite an emotional statement. Um Yeah, where'd that come from?

It's uh, it basically, we kind of don't have control over the crazy stuff that happens in our lives. Gravity Happens is basically a statement that says, "Hey, this stuff is going to come our way but it's about how we deal with it and what, you know, helps us work through it." Now I'm kneeling, like a child knows a mother's face. And I don't have to tell you that you got my heart, you got my heart in chains. Tears on my pillow case.

It's true, you don't know what's going to happen at any point in time, do you?

No.

See? You never know. I'm ready. I'm ready. Just hit her with a pillow on camera. That's a lawsuit in America. Watch out. Watch out.

With this album, I've really laid it all out on the table and it's a, it's a little bit more stripped in that it's not as maybe pop leaning. It's, it's definitely still catchy, fun, pop music but it's more

Older and honest.

Yeah. Like that. That could have been a good album name. Yeah. Except in this business it's like older is never necessarily a good thing, so it's like, you know.

Just cuz you knew my birthday was coming up.

No, no. I wasn't saying that. I wasn't saying that. It's not what I'm saying. I'm going to be 23.

20, yeah, right? Which is great.

And I look like I'm 14 years old, so, you know.

Which is why we kept one pillow.

Right, exactly. So for them reasons. It's like In case people thought In case they did I was in fact, right? Absolutely. We have to, we have to take that into account. And then there's Georgie.
