Young Hollywood

It's great to have you back.

Dominic Cooper

Nice to be back.

Young Hollywood

The last time I interviewed you, I know. We had a wild time. We did. This is such an exciting, stimulating, tetherball talking tetherball with Dominic Cooper in the Young Hollywood Studios. I'm Nikki Novak. Should we start that again? I feel like just imitating your accent, it's so charming and

Dominic Cooper

It's not. No one understands a word I say.

Young Hollywood

Okay, let's talk about the that's mine. You can drink out of my bottle. You do share. That's why I thought. Look there oh, thank you so much. So, definitely You've been incredibly busy.

Dominic Cooper

I've been good.

Young Hollywood

Since I saw you last. Yeah. Yeah. This is good. This is good.

Dominic Cooper

It is good, it's very good. Yeah.

Young Hollywood

And let's talk about reasonable doubt. Yes, that's the latest. This is the latest and the greatest. You okay getting home?

Dominic Cooper

Yeah. I have to go, I can't stay.

Young Hollywood

You have a little bit of a conundrum in this film, that is that you sort of have the choice, am I going to save myself?

Dominic Cooper

Yeah, he makes us go out.

Young Hollywood

And sacrifice others?

Dominic Cooper

Selfish decision. Yeah.

Young Hollywood

Right. Well, let me give you a lighter scenario for like everyday life. Yeah. You, Dominic, as a person. Yes. Let's say you're going to get your coffee in the morning. Immediate dilemma. Yeah. You can have your coffee, but nobody else in the shop gets it. Would I choose that? Or would you choose to not have the coffee and everybody else gets their coffee. Like what kind of guy are are you that the sacrificial cof-

Dominic Cooper

Well, I'm certainly I'm certainly going to lie about it. Right now. I I think it would just be awful to say I'd be the guy who didn't care about anyone else getting their coffee.

Young Hollywood

That's a good diplomatic answer.

Dominic Cooper

I think so, isn't that the right thing to do?

Young Hollywood

It is. But you like say you hear a rumor about somebody or you hear something, are you one of those people that tends to go reasonable doubt, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt or you're like, oh, where there's smoke there's fire. They're they're guilty as as can be.

Dominic Cooper

No, I really think people talk a lot of nonsense. People love talking. It's the one thing we have over over other animals is we have this terribly long that we I haven't quite worked that out yet. Apparently it was meant to be good, but whether it's resolved anything or created more problems, I don't know, but you can I really truly believe from my own experiences that you you absolutely should give people the benefit of the doubt and you should always make your own opinions of certainly of people. Um, yes, you can hear about what people have possibly done, but that's more often than not influenced by the person who's retelling the tale about that person. They are making a decision about how to tell that story and it becomes this huge kind of it can you can see how it snowballs and but I think you just have to be quite careful what you what you take as truth. Um

Young Hollywood

A-lister advice, since you're an A-lister in Hollywood. What advice would you give to those youngsters out there, sort of breaking into the business or or staying relevant and current in the business.

Dominic Cooper

I suppose it's just to stay try and stay truthful to yourself and and remember what you are why why you're doing it. And what you are trying to achieve. There's a lot that can that can pull you in different directions and and influence your mind and your choices and you have to really I think be quite sure of yourself and strong within yourself as to what who you want to be and what work you want to do. Because it's hard. You come up against really, really tough obstacles and decisions which kind of prohibit you from achieving those goals. So it's really trying to steer clear of stuff you don't want to do and and remember originally why you embarked upon it and wanted to be part of it. And don't be seduced by all the wrong things. I think that that's quite key especially here. People who have this immediate success as well, I see it's terribly dangerous in many ways because you suddenly have all these people's opinions that are trying to pull you in different directions. And I think that that I think that that's the one clear thing to try and remember why. With regards to any profession or anything.

Young Hollywood

People might not know anything about you, Dominic, the person. What is something that people would sort of never guess about you? Give me a piece of trivia.

Dominic Cooper

About me. You wear striped socks and enjoy tetherball. I like Hoovering. Vacuuming.

Young Hollywood

What?

Dominic Cooper

I love a good vacuum.

Young Hollywood

You do.

Dominic Cooper

Yeah. That's what so hard. And Hoover's at the English, you know. I know we call this the name of a product that we created for some reason. I don't know why that is. That's really boring.

Young Hollywood

No, but I actually think that's adorable. I like cleaning, getting into cleaning. Why are you looking at your floor? Suddenly we can bring it. We can bring one in. We can bring one in if you'd like. How'd we do on our second time around? Were we more civilized than the first?

Dominic Cooper

You know we have I think we've grown up. We're we have grown up. You could always have a good Hoover when you need to. That's a good good old Hoover.

Young Hollywood

Thank you for coming in.

Dominic Cooper

Nice to see you again.
