Tanya Rad Talks Taylor Swift, Jonas Brothers, & More BBMAs Moments

Hey guys, it's Tonya Rad. I'm hanging out at Young Hollywood and these are some of my Billboard Music Award favorites. Favorite couple on the red carpet has to be Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra Jonas. I'm obsessed with them. I I obviously love all the Jonas brothers, so it's like kind of hard for me to pick a favorite cuz they're kind of like all my favorites. But I'm like really having a moment with Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra right now because I'm just I feel like I love Nick Jonas more because he married Priyanka Chopra. And at the time, Joe and Sophie weren't married. So I'm giving the edge to Nick and Priyanka.

My favorite was Taylor Swift because I feel like she's really dressing to like a theme and I feel like there's a purpose to the pastel ruffles that Taylor was Swift was giving us and we haven't figured it out quite yet. Obviously it goes like if the color aesthetic matches everything that she's doing right now, but I feel like the ruffles are going to come into play with like a new song or like there's some subliminal message to what she was wearing and we don't know it yet.

And that's why my best dress goes to Taylor Swift because I feel like there's something that we're going to like uncover in a month because I don't know if you guys remember, but at the I Heart Radio Music Awards, she wore like butterfly shoes. And then that's like the whole theme of the the video starts out with the snake, you know, like slamming on the floor and then turning into all the butterflies. So I feel like Taylor Swift is always giving us clues. And there's something in this outfit that we're not understanding quite yet. But we will. Favorite interview. Okay, there's so many. Um, okay, I'd have to say it was the the Jonas brothers, but I'm I'm not going to say that.

I'm going to go with Julia Michaels because Julia Michaels did me a solid. She's written songs for like Justin Bieber, Gwen Stefani, Britney Spears, Selena Gomez, the list goes on and on. So I called her and I was like, hey, I really want to have a like jingle for Jason Kennedy at the carpet and I know that you're going to interview with us. Would you do a little jingle for me? And I was like, you can totally tell me to like buzz off. Um, but she was super cool and she did it. And so when she came up and like we revealed that it was Julia Michaels that did it. It was so special and I love her so much. Um, I still can't believe she did that for me.

So she has to be my favorite interview because that was a very special moment. And um, I'm just really grateful to her and I think that she's going to like literally be at the Billboard Music Awards one year um receiving the icon award. So, I can be like, I knew her when. Favorite performance, obviously goes to the Jonas brothers. I don't know if you can tell, but um, I'm obsessed with the Jonas brothers. So whenever they're like involved in any option, it defaults to the Jonas brothers. Uh, did I say Jonas brothers? They were my favorite. Close second was Paula Abdul cuz that was like epic. But Jonas brothers. Is it too much Jonas brothers?

My favorite moment of the entire night was um, so one of my best friends is Sophia Carson and she and I met at a like music award show four years ago. And we're just like coincidentally sat next to each other. And we just fell in love that night and we've created such a beautiful friendship. And so kind of like four years later, she had just started out with like descendants and she was just starting out her career and I just started out like being a host and on the air. And so to be um on the red carpet, the Billboard Music Awards with me interviewing her as she was walking the carpet. It was kind of like one of those 360 life moments where I was just like, what is life? What's happening?

This is really crazy and cool. Um, so that was kind of like, I had to fight back tears because I was like, I'm not going to cry on television.
