Action! That's it.

Tom Kenny

Hey, I'm Tom Kenny, aka SpongeBob SquarePants.

Ethan Slater

And I'm Ethan Slater, aka SpongeBob SquarePants.

Tom Kenny

Why are we here?

Ethan Slater

We're here Young Hollywood, answering some burning questions because The SpongeBob Musical Live on Stage is now on Nickelodeon. Streaming on all Nickelodeon platforms, wherever Nickelodeon is sold.

Ethan Slater

I think the best advice Tom has given to me about playing SpongeBob is um when you're not on stage, never wear yellow.

Tom Kenny

Well, also I think the best advice that I gave Ethan when he started playing SpongeBob was don't freak out. And then the best advice that Ethan gave me when I did uh The SpongeBob Musical Live on Stage was don't freak out. So we basically each kept each other from freaking out.

Ethan Slater

Yeah. So again, I was doing a take on on your advice. For my advice.

Tom Kenny

Meta, meta, meta. It's all about the meta. It's all about the meta. Heavy meta.

Young Hollywood

Ooh, it is burning questions time! We are going to answer some burning questions that came to us from I don't know, from somewhere. I think from uh various uh social media places. And but, here's the catch. Okay. We've got to answer them and we have to give advice.

Tom Kenny

Yeah. As SpongeBob.

Ethan Slater

SpongeBob.

Tom Kenny

So you're SpongeBob and I'm also SpongeBob.

Ethan Slater

Yep. The two SpongeBobs.

Tom Kenny

Giving advice as SpongeBob.

Ethan Slater

Yep.

Tom Kenny

Okay. I think I can try that. I can try that. I'll go first. Let's see. The first question is, Young Hollywood. Oh, wait. I have to turn it over. What is worse for you, health-wise: two Fruit by the Foots or one cup of noodles? What I would say, and in the kitchen of the Krusty Krab, this is something that I like to whip up, is what I do is take the cup of noodles, microwave it for three minutes, and then put the Fruit by the Foot in there and it melts and gives it a delicious bouillabaisse. Hmm. That's some good eating.

Ethan Slater

Here we go. My question is, why do we hop on a phone call and jump into the shower? Well, that is a very easy answer, Ashley. The answer would be, because we're excited to! Of course, quite often I have to jump out of the shower to hop on a phone call. Cuz people always call on the shell phone when you're washing up. Scrubbing up.

Tom Kenny

Yes. Scrub it up. Scrub it up. Isn't that the truth? A clean Sponge is a happy Sponge.

Ethan Slater

Next question! This one is, can you die from a hangover? Asking for a friend who is actually me. I think that's a misprint. I think it's supposed to say hangnail. No, you cannot die from a hangnail. All you have to do is just bite it off. That's all you got to do. And you can't die from it.

Tom Kenny

Well done. Good advice. Next question. Someone at the gym once told me, you're doing great. First time? I've been working out there for six years. That was cold. You know, my advice, Jimmy, is um, keep going to that gym. Yeah, I mean, it was probably Larry the Lobster that was saying that to you, and he's so buff. That he's buff. Everybody looks like a first day gym-goer to Larry. Isn't that the truth? He is so buff. Maybe if you ask him for help, he'll get buff like him.

Ethan Slater

I saw that it was from a fellow named Jimmy. Oh, yeah. Jimmy. Uh, the French narrator will call him Jimmy Fallon. Two hours later, Jimmy Fallon was still wondering if he should go back to the gym.

Tom Kenny

Oh! Why don't they sell toothbrushes that brush your top row of teeth and your bottom row of teeth at the same time? Uh, I think this invention was pioneered on SpongeBob, by SpongeBob. I actually have one of those. Go check it. Check the internet. Yep. Ahead of the curve. You're ahead of the curve. Baby, as always. That's a million dollar idea.

Ethan Slater

Is there a line more commonly used more than, I'm busy? Nope. He was very busy with that answer.

Tom Kenny

Oh, Justine Bieber. This is from Justine Bieber.

Ethan Slater

Hi Justine.

Tom Kenny

Hey Justine. Why is Rhode Island neither a road nor an island? Wow. I don't know. You'd have to be a road scholar to uh know that. Why is Rhode Island neither an island or a road? I don't know. I've never been to Rhode Island. There is a place that uh Patrick and I visited called Rude Island, where everybody was just so ill-mannered. We had to get out of there. We only stayed for a couple of minutes. It was it was worse than Rock Bottom.

Ethan Slater

Why Clifford Big Red Dog so big? That dog too big. Very good question. What I'm thinking is, can you really be too big? Can you be too big? That's just more goodness and wonderfulness in every fiber of that doggy being. That's what I tell Mrs. Puff. That way there's just more for Mr. Krabs to love, Mrs. P. You can never be too big, too square, or too yellow.

Tom Kenny

Well, when twins are born, how are they not constantly mistaken for each other? How do the parents know which is which? How? Wow. I don't know. I guess, you know, does it really matter that much? I mean, when you're a newborn baby, you're just kind of laying around, you're not doing much. It's not like, you know, even if the parents do mix the babies up, it's not like the baby's going to go, "Wait a minute! You got the wrong kid!" Cuz they can't talk yet. When you're a baby, you just roll around. Maybe poop a little bit, drool. Ah, life was easier then, remember?

Ethan Slater

I do. He's my twin. And we get mistaken for each other all the time. Constantly. Constantly.

Tom Kenny

Why the heck and heck are there not more Dairy Queens in Los Angeles? Well, I've never been to this place, Los Angeles, but it sounds like a beautiful place where they have gotten rid of the royalty, which means that they're running mostly as a democracy, which I think is a beautiful thing. I I don't know any queens. I I know I know the king. King Neptune. Of course. Neptune. Yes. Yeah.

Ethan Slater

This is from a cat named Noah. And Noah asks, Dear SB, does anyone else have to mentally prepare to relax? I thought, I think that is probably the most SpongeBob thing of all time. It is such a SpongeBob thing. Let me tell you, I work 97 hours a week at the Krusty Krab. I hate relaxing. I I really do have to mentally prepare to relax. I take two weeks preparing for my three-day vacation.

Tom Kenny

Are dog voices inherited by our parents? My new book. My advice to you would be, finish that second sentence because I am loving where it's started. That one comes to us from Dilyn Spruce. Dilyn Spruce, dog voices are just voices. Yeah. Do you think what he's getting at is the voices that like I do sometimes with Gary? Where I go, "Meow, my name is Gary." That is very encyclical. For the kids inherit I don't know. But no, I don't think that's what he was going for. Sorry.

Ethan Slater

Hey, this is from the other Spruce. Callie. Callie M Spruce. What did bed bugs do before beds? Well, uh back then, they were known as pallet bugs. Uh they they or mat bugs. They would they would just sleep on the pallets or mats. What I don't understand is, crazy as a bed bug. Where'd that expression come from? People always go, "He's crazy as a bed bug." Uh, bed bugs can live anywhere and they can't be killed. They can survive being frozen. Not that crazy. No. Not that crazy. I think it's because bed bugs are very passionate about what they do. They're crazy about their work. They're like, I don't know how I'm gonna get up to the 57th floor of that swanky hotel, but I'm going to do it. Bed bugs are determined, yo.

Tom Kenny

Also. That's all our questions. I have been wanting to do this for a long time. There we go. There we go. There's two more. Wait. Gotta get Barry one. Man, those were some real brain teasers. Really good questions. Not that my brain needed to be teased because uh, yeah, it's it's It's what it is. It's it's very sensitive. Don't mess with my brain. Get out of my brain. That was fun. Yeah. And we hope that you will tune in and watch The SpongeBob Musical Live on Stage on Nickelodeon right now.
