You're not going to get your donut today. If you don't learn your lines. Wow. I'd be scared to work for you. That. Yes, it's precious. R J here, hanging out at the Young Hollywood Studio and today we've got the lovely Anna Faris. Hi. How are you?
I'm great. How are you doing?
Good. I want to dive right into it though.
Let's do it.
Can we talk about butts for a minute?
Sure. Love to talk about butts.
Cause I hear that's your favorite body part. Of yourself. Of your, why? Is that true? You said that. I want to understand what makes a good butt. Why is that your favorite?
Oh, man. I was doing a lot of Pilates.
Ah.
So I think that it was getting kind of, you know, kind of round, pretty firm. Um, but now I'm really embarasssed.
Uh-oh. No more Pilates. We gotta get you back doing the Pilates. I know. So let's talk about all all the crazy things you're doing. First off, I mean a chipette. Explain what a chipette is in the new Alvin and the Chipmunks.
I know. Um, I play um Janette, the chipette. It's really weird because you have to do you have to do something really specific, like if my line was like, you guys, we gotta get back to, I don't know, let's say the house. I have to go, You guys. We have to get back to the house. You guys. We have to get back to the house.
So is it harder or easier having to do that than than actually being in front of the camera?
I love doing voicework. I think it's really funny. You don't have to do like hair and makeup and stuff. But you don't um you usually don't work with other actors.
Speaking of other actors, what's your number? I mean, some of the funniest people out there. I mean, how do you keep a straight face? Joel McHale. I know. Andy Samberg. Our trainers in it. Um my husband, Chris Pratt.
Allie? Donald? Oh, it's you. Hi. Oh, we have nothing to eat. Ronnie, let's go out tonight. I don't know.
Oh, there's just so many people out there.
You're actually his boss. That makes it even crazier cause you're you're producing the film. So at the end of the day, you're the one wearing the pants.
Yeah. Boss lady. I'm the boss lady. You know it. I like to threaten them. You know, a little bit.
What would a threat be? What would you say?
Yeah. You're not gonna get your donut today if you don't learn your lines.
Look at her face. How she does it? I need to see that again. That's very serious.
You're not going to get your donut today if you don't learn your lines.
Wow. I'd be scared to work for you. That. That would be scary.
Yes. It's precious.
And how is it hanging with Chris? We just had Chris Evans three days ago.
Yeah. We had him here a couple weeks ago. We've had a ton of Chris. He's the best.
Simon, I can't believe it. What are the chances? It's brilliant to see you.
It is brilliant. Simon, this is my neighbor, Colin, but he has to go now.
No, I don't.
Does he get nervous at all though? Cause I know sometimes when he's doing interviews, he's definitely on edge.
Yeah, he gets really he gets really shy, I think. Isn't that amazing?
Yeah. It's hard. You know, you do this everyday. Never. A little bit. You are, huh? I see. I'm just gonna say yeah, I'm more Red Bull. We won't bite. Don't worry. It's easy. It's chill here. I'm making Anna Faris nervous. I know. And then you just finished with Sasha Baron Cohen and another film here. You're working a lot. How was that one?
Yeah. It was great. It was really crazy. Um, we worked all summer, um, shooting this movie called The Dictator in New York, and he's like this, you know, comedic genius.
And a couple of things I gotta ask you about just some interesting tidbits we we heard about you.
Yes. Uh-oh.
With your Barbie dolls. Were there some interesting? Oh, no. This is for real. I wasn't sure. This was really the truth. Wait. Do you still play with your Barbie dolls?
Uh, no, but I have them.
Okay, but you don't play with them anymore. That's good. What's your favorite Barbie doll?
My favorite Barbie I love Peaches and Cream.
Why do you love Peaches and Cream?
Oh, she just had the most beautiful dress. You know, it was weird now that I think about it. My mom didn't let me read women's magazines growing up, but she bought would buy me Barbie doll after Barbie doll after Barbie doll. Somehow like playing with Barbies was fine.
You you're close with your mommy. You still write those postcards to her?
Yeah, you did your I know. Yeah, I love to send her sexy postcards.
What's the last postcard you sent her?
They're really hard to find nowadays. There's one with like a woman with her legs spread and she's in the middle of a waterfall. And, um, yeah, so I sent that one to her. Like, hey mom. I'm going to have a great time, California.
And how does mom react? Does she like write back? Does she just call you?
She calls me. She'll be like, Annie. I can't believe you did that again.
Oh, that. I like that. I like the voice too. You know you're in trouble when it's Annie. What happened?
My British accent was rusty and I went full Borat. So.
