"30 Rock's" Katrina Bowden

RJ here, hanging out at the Young Hollywood Studio with Katrina Bowden.

So our first interview here at the studio with one of your co-stars is with Tracy Morgan.

Oh. I've never been the same since.

That must be fun.

I've never been the same since. The best way to start out the day.

Right.

When he walked in the studio, he went nuts as only Tracy can.

Kit it. I knew you'd come back. Let me smell your head. Come on, this is a woman's blazer from a very expensive blazer shop called Rico's. Just screaming where am I? I can't believe this is an interview studio.

I know, well, this does not look like a regular hotel room studio thing. It's a cool setup. It's awesome. The decor is amazing.

So, what are some of your favorite things to do though when you're out in LA? Because you come out here, you know, quite a bit now even though you're not living here. Mhm. Where do you like to go? Where do you like to hang out?

Um, I like to make it out to the beach. Um to hang out there. It's so nice to be able to go there and then to go hiking in the in the hills. It's so nice to do that. And then of course, some of my favorite restaurants and spots to go to here. Um I love Bossa Nova.

Oh, love Bossa Nova. Brazilians. I love it. It's so good. And the menu and the menu is like the longest menu I've ever seen, but it's all amazing. Do you get the plantains? I know it's not healthy, but you got to get the plantains.

I I have I've shared that before, definitely. But then they have like all these pasta dishes and salads with all these delicious chicken and shrimp and oh, it's so good. Love Bossa Nova.

I want to go there right now. making me hungry. We like to do this interview there. Right. So, let's talk. Now, you're you're Jersey shore, well not Jersey shore, but you're a Jersey girl at heart. That's where you're from. Jersey shore's taken over the world right now. Were you doing the GTL thing when you were when you were growing up?

I didn't really do my laundry that much when I was.

Right. How about the G and the T? Were you doing any of those?

Uh a a little bit. I never really went tanning that much. Um I went I I went to the gym a lot, but I'm kind of like I don't really get tan. I don't really get too much tan than what I am right now, so but um I was a G.

You were a G. Really yeah, kinda. You know, driving through Compton yesterday, you're the G. I know. It goes well. But what do you think about all this like the Snooki, the situation? What would your nickname be if you had your your Jersey Shore nickname?

Kbo.

Kbo. Why would it be Kbo?

I don't It just works. People have called me that too. Like a couple people have like Or like um Jack McBreuer calls me Bobo. But one thing that people don't understand though, if they're not from New Jersey, is that the the all of the Jersey shore is not like that. That's just like one little tiny part that's like far down. And it's like most parts of the Jersey shore are really quiet and really pretty and beautiful houses. Uh I I've went there a few times this summer to different parts, different towns.

You set the record straight cuz we didn't know about.

It's really really beautiful. Um there are some really and there's like the most like the biggest mansions on the beach and some really quiet beaches, too. You just have to find them. You just have to find them. Yeah.

So, talk to us about just what else you want to be doing? I mean, you're doing 30 Rock, Top show. Where do you see yourself a few years from now? Are you going to get into singing, fashion, anything else? You just focus on the acting.

I think I'll stick with acting. I'm not much of a singer. Um

You don't do any singing in the shower maybe?

Oh, well, I mean, of course, I do, but that's for no one else to hear. Um just to do more film. Um television I I I love television. Um just to do I think some more drama would be would be cool. Just to show myself in a different light. Yeah, cuz I've always loved drama. Um and I I've just I love comedy and I've learned so much from being on 30 Rock and working with the people that I've been able to work with and I started when I was 17. And so I kind of like learned it from them as I went and kind of grew up with all of them. So it's it's it's been really cool. But um definitely some drama and just something different for me.

I like it. There you go. You heard about it from Kbo. I like that name. We're going to create the new branding right now. It's just going to be Kbo.
