I'm here with the lovely Ivana Milicevic.
Hey. How are you?
I'm really good. How are you, Oliver?
It's a great name, isn't it?
Europeans do have amazing names.
Yes, I would say so. It's a good strong name.
Yeah, because if my name Ivana was translated in English, it would just be Jane or Joanna.
Right. It's so much better. So much better. You just sound like a goddess from birth.
Oliver, this interview is going to go really well. It's gonna go really well. See, I know how to start them, right?
Really well, yes.
And what else is great is Banshee.
I think so. It's pretty
Do you like it? It's hard to get a breath. I'm like, Oh good. That's it. No. People all over the world. Okay, we won't go there. Drop myself in it. And but you do look amazing in the show.
Thank you. Thank you.
And you are, uh, extremely aggressive in every way.
With reason, I think.
Yes, exactly. You don't just hit people for no reason.
No, no. Well, the whole show is aggressive because it's like a pulpy Noir. It's kind of a younger Quentin Tarantino made a one-hour episode every week. It's like that. It's like a movie every week, as well.
It is. And it feels like it too on our bodies.
A lot of bruises, a lot of injuries. I bruise a lot. I bruise a lot. I don't break, which is great, but I bruise like a peach. Okay. But there's some blood. Blood is spilled on our show.
Nice. I like that.
Shed. Tears are shed, sweat is shed. This is the real deal.
It is the real deal Holyfield, yeah. Your your character is like criminal past, but you're also a mother. And it's is it interesting playing a role like that?
Yes, because it's the two parts, right? This warm woman who just always wanted to be a mother and have this great family and then this whole aspect to her past. And so this just starts to come out of her pores more and more. And she literally has to use those skills of badassery to protect her family in her mind at least.
Badassery.
You like it. It's a new word. You can have it.
Okay, I'm going to keep it. All right. We're making friends. You know me. You get any more time for it? They just let me off with a warning. Don't take it seriously. They'll just keep you in here longer. I just can't stand being in here. Not knowing if my kids are okay. I can't talk to them. And then if he comes back. Rabbit. If he's alive, you hurt him pretty badly. He's alive. And um, you mentioned the fighting scenes. Did you have to were you familiar with fighting before the show? Did you have to train for this?
No. No, I knew I would have to train. I thought I would I thought I would like it because I had taken like a boxing exercise class before. And our our stunt teams are just so talented, but what they did was besides regular punching and boxing, they brought these amazing other martial arts to my awareness and it's stick fighting and knives and open hands. It really trains your hands so that even then when I box or punch, that's even better. It improves it. And this one time when I was in Vegas, a girl ran up to me, a woman, and said, "I love your fight scenes because of that. I've started to take Krav Maga and I'm really good at it now." And I'm like, "Awesome!"
Oh, I thought you were going to say, this woman ran up to me in Vegas and I just took her down. And what can we expect from season two in the way of there's some new characters coming in the show, right?
Yes. Zeljko Ivanek, who, uh, is also my people. He is stirring things up and he's kind of the biggest threat this season. Lucas Hood is I don't know, he's growing. He's I think he's going to try to act more like a sheriff. He's like, well, there's other ways that you can get things done. I mean, here you are, you got a badge. I'm in jail, which is no fun. Although I had a really awesome fight scene the other day in jail.
You did?
So that was good. It was last Friday. girl on girl.
Got it. Sold. I'm there. Tuning in. And I love the females on our show. Do you? Most people do. I've got to be honest. I've read some of the comments. A lot of people. But they're so strong. They're strong though, right?
Strong is definitely the first thing people think of. I don't think it's I mean, when they look at the females on your show.
But mentioning people that love your show, the fanshees.
Fan She's.
Very clever, isn't it? Well done. That we owe that all to you, fanshees. The name we came up with. We we owe everything to the fanshees because they are so vocal about their love for the show. I think they really help us get a lot of viewers and tweet. They tweet like crazy. And tweeting. You got to tweet, everybody. The world of social media, I mean, come on. You got to tweet. You got to tweet. It's good. It's good. Um, and I also read that, uh, Princess Bride is your favorite movie. Is that right?
Oh, it is one of my favorite movies.
Is it? Okay. We're going to play, play a little game. Princess Bride. It's just going to be finish the quote. Okay. You're going to finish the quotes from the movie. "Mawage." Is that one of them? That would have been a great one. "Love and mawage." Yeah. That one I love him too, but no. "Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father."
"Prepare to die."
There you go. See? See? "As you wish."
Yes. "I will never again." Something again. "I will never." Doubt love. Oh, but then she also says, "I will never doubt again," when he comes back for her and she says, "Can I have this?"
This is true. This is true. Ding, ding, ding. Okay, great. All right. This girl knows my stuff. Do you recall? Six fingers on your left hand.
Yes.
Okay. That was really impressive. Too many chances to have six fingers. You really are a Princess Bride fan. I love it.
Yes. I love that movie.
Do you like it? It's amazing. It do you, as a man? Oh, you're oh, you're a good one. I mean, as a man, obviously, I watch it when people ask me to. I'm not a massive fan. I'm more like Mission Impossible.
Of course, of course. Yeah, yeah.
Thank you for coming on the show.
Thank you for having me on the show.
Watch Banshee season two for her bad assery. It's not the same when I say it. Bad assery. It's better when you say it. Bad assery. Bad assery. No, but assery. Bad assery.
