Hi, I'm Edgar Ramirez from Zero Dark Thirty. Stay tuned and find out how my hair and these pillows got like this, and for a Young Hollywood first.
I'm here with Edgar Ramirez. Great to have you here.
Thank you very much.
Congratulations on Zero Dark Thirty, first of all. You know, you know that when you're signing up for a project like that, you know it's going to be incredible. I mean, you Katheryn Bigelow, and Jessica Chastain, and
Yeah. Yeah, definitely. Yeah. We, I mean, we shot on we shot on on very, you know, particular and and and tough locations. I mean, we shot in India, in Jordan. Actually, in India we were very close to where everything happened. Actually, it's the same province, just like
Wow.
on the on the Indian side instead of the Pakistani side.
Right.
But, um, but we were four hours away from where all the events, uh, the real events took took place.
Did you get any inside information, like Area 51, JFK? Do you have now military, do you have secrets, like CIA secrets? Did they let you know anything? Um, that you can share with us?
Well, of course, I mean, even if I knew,
You couldn't tell us.
Exactly. Or you'd have to kill me.
Exactly. So, yeah.
exactly. Or I would have to kill you.
That wouldn't be good.
Yeah, yeah, exactly. And then it would this would turn into a snuff movie. And no, I'm kidding.
Where was the last time you saw bin Laden? So, we have some Twitter questions from some of your fans.
Okay.
Lisa Ribiero wants to know what kind of movie would he like to do next? A musical or romantic comedy? Uh. Can you sing?
Uh, not really. No, yeah, in the shower, but, you know,
What do you what's your shower song?
Here I go again on my own.
Nice.
Yeah, for example.
Wow.
Yeah, please don't please I beg you don't make me sing it. Just please.
Well. Here I go again on my own. I'm coming. Lexa Rod wants to know, do you have a bad habit?
Uh, a bad habit, I have many.
Oh, okay.
I have the ability to practically drop a bomb in any hotel room that I enter in less than three minutes. I don't know how, but I enter into a hotel room, it's beautiful, it's pristine, perfect. Kind of like this one.
In less like this one.
Exactly.
Okay, cuz we are in a hotel room.
Exactly. I have the ability to just make such a mess out of the room in less than three minutes. In three minutes, it's I mean, it really looks, it really looks like a bomb has been dropped there.
What? I'm so tempted. What? I'm so tempted.
To what?
To make a mess out of. Go ahead. It's Young Hollywood. Should we help it?
Yeah. Be young, be young. You wanted to do this. You really want me to kill yourself, don't you?
This is definitely a first. This is definitely a first. How's my hair?
Yeah. Yes, beautiful.
Erica A. Linny wants to know, who or what inspired you to become an actor?
I always wanted to, um, actually, I didn't go to drama school. I mean, I'm not a I'm not a trained actor.
You didn't go to You were you wanted to be a diplomat.
Exactly. Yeah, and I'm and and I'm um, uh, I'm a journalist, actually. I think that it has to do with with a very, you know, deep fascination that I have for human nature. Um, exploring the human nature, but probably in a more poetic way, you know, uh, through other mythology, you know, through other, uh, methods, you know, and then and then, um, I'm I'm still doing the same and I'm still traveling and getting to know very interesting people. And I have pillow fights in a hotel room with a beautiful host,
And you're defenseless. Oh my goodness, you're making me blush. Well, yeah. Along those lines of being a diplomat, we have a little couple little scenarios for you.
Okay.
I want to see how diplomatic you actually are.
Oh God.
Does this make dress make me look fat? How diplomatic an answer?
No. I mean, there's no Of course not.
And what if it was like a male friend? Okay. Ask him if he's fat.
No, let's say he's wearing like, let's say he's wearing like I would say, "Dude, where is What is up to me? What do I care? Go and go and work out or something." Yeah, leave that pizza alone. I mean, it's a I mean, it's like I don't know. Are you depressed? Or do you want a beer and and forget about being fat? I don't know.
Okay, and last but not least, if a Young Hollywood host tells you that there's a mistletoe above you, how do you get out of it diplomatically?
Is her boyfriend in the room? Then I don't then there's no diplomatic diplomacy needed.
All right, this is a first. I knew that was coming. Now, that is kissing diplo- softly and killing diplo- softly.
