How's it going? We're Metro Station. We're at the Young Hollywood Studio, and this song is called I Still Love You. I never thought the word is true, but I'll say it now, girl. I'll scream it out to you. Well, I still love you.
What's up, guys? Nicki Novac here in the Young Hollywood Studio with Metro Station.
I thought the world could wait so I won't take it back, girl. You know I wait for you. I still love you.
Mason, you brought Metro Station back.
I'm uh I'm doing it. Um we're working on our second record. It's almost done and uh we've just been in the studio a lot and finishing it all up.
So, doing the new music, was there like an intentional, we want to make this sound different. We want to bring us to a different level, or did did it sort of happen organically, you know, right?
Um, it happened organically. You know, after the first record, you know, there was definitely a transformation and you know, I grew up. So I would say um maturing really is what is what's going on in this new record.
You you you, you said you'd never leave me. But you never promised. I I I wish I could take it back now.
What sort of what's on your radar in terms of like trends or gadgets or anything like that?
Uh, Xbox 360. These just go all out. I mean, they scream at the house like, I'm going to kill you. I'm going to kill you. We got rowdy.
You get competitive?
Oh, sure, absolutely. We're like brothers.
Any money on the line? Cuz I know you're from you live in Vegas. Yeah. Are you a big gambler?
I I I hit a Royal Flush. No, I I'm not I really did. I won 400 bucks. I tipped the dealer $40 and I bounce. And I've never hit that in my life.
It's your song right here. I still love you.
So, you guys are going to be touring?
Yeah. We're uh after we finish up this record, we'll be going on the road.
Mason's idea was taking a boat to
Yeah, we're taking a cruise line, so we're going to be able to gamble and drink out and
your fans can get on the boat and travel with you and you can just perform every night.
Sure. That'd be cool too.
Good idea. I love it. The love boat with Metro Station. Who would be the cruise director? Who's the most like sort of like friendly outgoing?
This one. I do all the business. What? No. No, no, no. You're in the sweet.
Yeah. And the captain would have to be maybe you because you're I I mean, I would I would do my best. I wouldn't let that ship go down.
Chef, perhaps?
Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I was like, maybe it would be the chef, but I'm like an awful cook, so that's not going to Everyone's going to be like a twig by the time we get back.
I I I still love you. I I I still love you. I I I still love you. I I I still love you.
We talked to you before in old old segment and you had just come back. I think you were performing. You had just come back from Australia. You said that you had just eaten kangaroo.
Yeah. Yeah, I did. Yeah, yeah, I tried.
What did it taste like?
Um chicken? You know, it was uh it was uh like pretty much like beef, like a steak, really.
Have you had anything crazy like that since on your travels?
Um I've had octopus in Japan.
Octopus, yeah. Try off it's like It's like bad ass though. Octopus, it's not It was probably really good.
It was. It's dried. it's not slimy at all.
The chef over here. How about you?
Uh I, you know, I'm not an inventor. In Japan I had like I'm like Gukaku, you know, grilled meat. That's about as far as I went. Well done. Australia I had some capsicums which are like What are those? They they put them on everything. They're like, "You want some cereal? Here's some capsicum." And you're what is it? Veggie mite? It's like their thing. Veggie mite, that's that stuff's crazy. That's crazy stuff. I had a tough stomach for that. I didn't like it. I didn't like it.
The fans are pretty crazy in Japan from what I've heard.
They're a lot of fun. They're quiet. After every song, it's like in unison everyone claps and then they get really silent. They're showing respect. It's a very
Yeah, that's that's what's cool. That's what's cool. But if you're at the mall and you go up an escalator, everyone's on the right side. And then if someone wants to pass around the left. So organized.
I actually have been there before and on the subway, everybody in the morning falls asleep on each other. So it's like we could do it here. We could all just sort of tilt our heads on the side and we'd be like and you sort of lean on each other's shoulders. They're very
And they don't know each other.
Oh, no. I mean, that's love right there.
I I I still love you. I I I still love you.
Thank you.
