Greyson Chance is Making the Haters Mad

RJ here, we are hanging out at the Young Hollywood Studio with a name and a face that y'all have seen many times with us.

The one and only Grayson Chance.

How are ya?

I'm doing fantastic.

Thanks for having me here today, RJ.

Let's talk about the evolution cuz we've hung out with you a lot.

The evolution.

The evolution of Grayson Chance.

So we had you here it was like a year and a half ago, I think, now.

Oh, it was a very long time ago.

We had you in the ballroom.

You were you were playing a little bit for us.

What's what's been the most exciting thing in the last year and a half of of your career that you got to do?

Because there's been a lot.

Oh goodness.

What's the most exciting thing?

The White House.

Um, that was that was a big one.

Um, you know, I've I think probably one of the best things that I ever got to do was release my album, Hold On 'Til the Night.

That was a very meaningful day for me and to be able to release that out to the fans.

You did a new music video.

We were on the set, and everybody's going to be seeing it.

Yes.

So, what'd you think?

How how involved were you in the the creation of this music?

Well, oh, I was involved 100% and it uh it just aired on Ellen, and then it was on Vivo on Friday as well.

And so that it was just so crazy.

But no, we really wanted to make a video that was pretty simple.

And uh and this one's the most simple the most simplest video I've ever done.

And it's really not even that simple because my other videos have kind of been crazy.

But uh so this one's pretty simple.

It's all black and white.

There's no color, no nothing.

It's all black and white.

And it's very um It just fits the song perfectly.

We're doing some acting now.

So that that's a little bit of a departure.

Yes.

So Raising Hope.

How how was it like working on that show?

What was

Oh, my goodness.

It was so much fun and uh that aired last week, you know, on on Tuesday.

And so that that was just a blast and uh you know, I can definitely tell you this is it's my last episode for the fall season.

But I'm definitely

You're coming back?

I'm going to be back in the spring season.

I just I love the people on Raising Hope and the cast and the crew.

Uh they're just so crazy.

Cloris Leachman is the craziest woman I've ever met.

But I just love her to death.

And Garrett and uh Martha and

Pretty good company to to be acting with.

You got to act with some people.

Very good company.

They're so funny, too.

Garrett actually um We're always in a Twitter war.

Like I'm always tweeting at him.

He's always tweeting back.

And he's he last time I was on set, he came out to me and he was like, um yeah, I can't tweet anything inappropriate on my Twitter anymore because now I have all your young fans following me.

And I was like, oh my goodness, Garrett.

There's a lot of huge fans out there that Oh yeah.

want to be you.

They want to want to be Grayson.

What advice do you have?

I mean, you're a little young to be giving advice, but given everything you've done.

Um I would say mainly, you know, to just keep your head up and keep on doing what you really love.

And I think uh what a what a lot of people um why they stopped doing, you know, the or singing or doing music is because people just kind of get into them.

And they're like, oh, you can't do this.

You can't do that.

So just keep your head up and you know, I think it's also important to make your haters mad.

Make them do that.

What are you going to make your haters mad?

Make, you know, make all the doubters be like, oh, man, I didn't man.

They're doing it.

Make them mad.

Make make them really mad.

That's a good attitude.

What's Grayson in 20?

What do you see in a perfect world?

Um oh, yikes.

That's scary.

Taking over the world.

Oh, and I'll be driving.

That's scary.

That's super scary.

Um hopefully just talking about new music.

I like that.

Who knows?

That's what it's all about.

It's all about the music.
