Young Hollywood

Hey guys, Leslie Robbins here in the Young Hollywood studio, joined by the stunning, sweet, lovely, gorgeous. We have a few more titles. Francesca Eastwood.

Francesca Eastwood

Thanks. Everyone.

Young Hollywood

Now there is one other title that I must add to this interview to start things off. But I need you to close your eyes for a second. Okay. Don't open them until I say. Okay.

Francesca Eastwood

Oh my gosh. That's fine.

Young Hollywood

Birthday girl. Oh my god. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday dear Francesca. Happy birthday to you. Okay.

Francesca Eastwood

Oh my gosh. You guys, thank you so much. It really made my day. Thank you so much.

Young Hollywood

You're so welcome.

Francesca Eastwood

Thank you. Of course. Thank you for thinking of that.

Young Hollywood

Now, I don't know if you're gluten-free, vegan-free this has all the carbs, everything it's.

Francesca Eastwood

I that's ex perfect. That's perfect. Yeah, I love it. I'm nothing free. I'm nothing free. Oh my gosh. Thank you for thinking of that. Of course. For this surprise. Thank you.

Young Hollywood

No. Happy birthday. It was two days ago for those who are you know keeping score at home. So, what does the girl who has everything. What for her birthday.

Francesca Eastwood

I got to spend a lot of really good quality time with my family on my birthday and that is the best gift of all and I know that sounds. God, it's coming out of my mouth and it sounds so cheesy, but it's true. I really got to spend a lot of quiet time with my family and that was everything.

Young Hollywood

And you come from an iconic family. The daughter of the iconic director Clint Eastwood. Francis Fisher, the actress, is your mom. And you're a mom yourself. Take me to the dinner table.

Francesca Eastwood

Dinner table's fun. It's a lot of laughs. I mean, everyone gets along really well. So it's it's really normal. The most important thing in my life right now is my parents and my son's relationship and their relationship blossoming and it's been it's been just the most beautiful thing in the world to see.

Young Hollywood

I love that. And being a mom in Hollywood.

Francesca Eastwood

It was so unexpected. It was such a shock that I just kind of thought this is goodbye to that for a little bit or something. Um, but the most beautiful thing was, you know, last summer my son got to visit me on set and he's really interested in the business and he wants to direct movies and he completely understands, you know, like what a wide shot is and what like they you know, script analysis like he's he's really, really into filmmaking right now.

Young Hollywood

Okay. Well you said the word film. You said the word set, running on empty. What a message. That movie puts out there. If you. The message is for those who haven't seen it yet. You know, you had this amount of time to live. What do you do with that time? Or you know when it's going to end.

Francesca Eastwood

Yeah, I mean the idea of finding out your death day. You know, it's definitely not a fantasy movie or the idea that you can find out when you're going to die and if you'd want to or what you do with your time. It's something that I kind of think about every day. I feel like I'm well, I'll you're so funny. You're so jolly. No, but I kind of think about that stuff all the time. Like, okay, like am I present? Am I spending am I doing the right thing? Am I? And I know you understand as a mom. Like, it's am I doing Am I How do I not screw this up? Exactly. Yeah. Or like, I want to make it whole. Let's lay it out. Yeah. To put it. Um, but yeah, that's really what the movie's centered around and the character Nicole, I thought was kind of funny and silly and goofy and I thought, you know, let's take a crack at it.

Young Hollywood

And so if you had to like pose the question to yourself personally. If you knew your death date, which is so morbid, but I know. How would you spend it? Would you go climb a mountain? No. Like he did.

Francesca Eastwood

No, no, actually. I would.

Young Hollywood

What would you do?

Francesca Eastwood

I, I don't know, I don't know what I'd do. What wouldn't you do? Wouldn't climb a mountain. I think I would just try and be in nature and as quiet as possible and be with my son and my family and I'll laugh at something. I think I try and just laugh and you know, remember all the positive memories that you have. I don't know how you'd spend it. I think it would wake you up to what, what's most meaningful.

Young Hollywood

You love books.

Francesca Eastwood

I do love books. I love books. I do. Yeah. I do.

Young Hollywood

Walk me through that. What are the books

Francesca Eastwood

I read are very yeah, they're they're more philosophical and like self-help.

Young Hollywood

And what have you taken from that literature? Anything stick out?

Francesca Eastwood

I think I just find pleasure in feeling like I'm working on myself or becoming a better person and things like that. So that's really what I take out of take out of reading stuff like that. And I like to understand, you know, the human mind, like why we are the way we are. Like the last book I read was about dopamine and that had a huge impact on my scrolling on Instagram.

Young Hollywood

Have you taught your son to read yet? Or does he already?

Francesca Eastwood

Oh, he reads pretty good. That's great. I mean, he's obsessed with writing right now, so I'm constantly telling him how to spell stuff. Yeah. So, but he's like writing his own books right now. It's really cute. It's really cute. Like making little, you know. I think I'm the he goes, you're the illustrator. I'm the author. And I'm like, okay, sweetie. No. That's so cute. Yeah.

Young Hollywood

Okay. And so it's your birthday weekend.

Francesca Eastwood

Thank you so much.

Young Hollywood

What are we doing?

Francesca Eastwood

Um, this and then home with my family. Jumping in the pool. I don't know. But this is the end of a really cool press tour. So.

Young Hollywood

Well, happy birthday.

Francesca Eastwood

Thank you so much.

Young Hollywood

All the best for this time around the sun.

Francesca Eastwood

Thank you.

Young Hollywood
