Hey guys, it is Audrey in the Young Hollywood headquarters, joined by the beautiful Tristan Mays from MacGyver. What's up? That's right. Throw up the Shaka because because you just came back from Hawaii. I am so jealous. Yes. Your first time there and you got to hang out with some CBS family.

Yeah. Absolutely. I came with some of the Hawaii 5-0 cast, Carly Bride. I went to the rap party, that was awesome.

Crossover times? Are we talking crossover?

Another crossover, yeah, because we did one already this season. Definitely going to happen again. Um yeah, Hawaii was incredible. I went scuba diving. I'm one with the fishes now. I went to the Pearl Harbor Museum, which was incredible. Um what else did I do? I ate some incredible food.

And you got to hang out with the Hawaii 5-0 cast. They're super super fun. Yes. And you said that people in Hawaii love MacGyver. Yes. What was the fan reaction?

MacGyver love is real in Hawaii. No one really says anything out here, because I guess they don't want to bug anyone, but Hawaii we're too cool out here. Yeah, but I really appreciated it though. People would let me know that they watch the show and they really love my character and we watch it every week. And that was just really cool. Yeah. To be able to acknowledge it. You know, it's okay to do that. They actually want to hear your feedback. We want to know what you guys think. So, if you see us, say something. It's cool to do that. Don't be shy. Right? So shout out to Hawaii.

Exactly. Exactly. That's right. Throw up the Shaka. Um you play Riley. You're heading into the season finale next week. So what, I mean, what has it been like on this journey playing her? She's a cool chick. She's she's a very interesting chick. You get to do a lot of lot of fun stuff on the show.

Well, I've got to say playing Riley has been probably the easiest role I've ever done, because she's me. You know, we wear the same clothes. I wear these shoes on the show every day. Like we're the same person.

Or do you just have like you just keep a pair or like this is that's your those are your shoes?

Oh, well before I got the show, I was wearing these like everyday as my go-to's. And then when I went to my first fitting, they're like, oh, those are perfect. It's literally like they picked the clothes right out of my closet. Um the writers pay close attention to how we talk on and off set and they will incorporate words that we use into the scripts so that we're just ourselves, you know, and that's one thing that's really cool about the show. All of us are really just playing ourselves. Right. And just adding a little bit extra to it for these crazy action scenes and and stuff like that. But it's awesome because I just get to be me. You know, Riley, she's tough. She's edgy. She's she doesn't care. She plays with boys.

We had the boys in George and Lucas. They seem to have a lot of fun. They've bonded a lot. Have you bonded with them as much as they have bonded with each other?

Oh, yeah. No, absolutely not. They just literally live together. But um you know, it's it's just like how it is uh in real life. I mean, I was kind of just thrown into this group with random guys and we've had to make it work as a team and that's just what happened on on the show as well.

But you and the boys, you've bonded with them. Uh who's the handiest out of the three of you do you think?

Me.

Wow. No hesitation. In real life, yeah. Why, why is that? And why, why are the boys so useless? I want to know.

They're not useless at all. They're awesome. Um, but in real life.

We had them in here so when we had them in here, we had them I had them building stuff. Really? Spaghetti and marshmallows. And cook. I feel like you have. Not that bad. How much? Obviously you all were not a struggling actor. Okay. There we had a whole 30 left. Do you know you you're now you didn't add more. You have to. You didn't utilize your time, cool. So they built ninja stars, both of them.

With spaghetti and marshmallows?

Yeah, with spaghetti and marshmallows. So I was like, I was impressed. Okay. But I feel like you could have done something I don't know, way more impressive.

Spaghetti and marshmallows. I have no idea. But I I'm pretty handy when it comes to making like booby traps.

And and little machines and stuff like that. I used to love the Erector Sets when I was little with the metal and the screws and the little battery. I used to make I'd make like a little truck and stuff like that.

You're real life MacGyver.

Kind of sort of. Yeah. Yeah.

What's the what's the biggest thing you've ever MacGyvered? Or what's the thing that you're most proud of MacGyvering?

Well, my my most proud the thing I'm most proud of is probably my my uh the thing that I used to make on April Fool's Day for my brother. It was a contraption I used to hang over the bathroom door. And it would when you'd open the door, the cup of water would tip over on his head.

Oh no, you won't do it.

It was flawless. Flawless contraption. That's probably what I'm most proud of.

You're not uh you're no stranger to this business. I remember watching you when you were a tyke on a little show called Go La Go La Island. Throwback. Yeah, a little bit of a throwback. What was that experience like? And you know, when you're that young sometimes people don't go don't keep going with it. You know, they kind of just go, you know what, I had my run. I'm gonna hang back, but you were not one of those people. So what made you want to keep going and staying in acting?

Well, I started way before that. That wasn't my first project, you know, I I did my first movie when I was four, but before that, I was doing print as as a baby, basically. You know, I was always doing commercials and print ads and modeling. Then I did Go La Go La Island and after that, I went straight into doing Broadway and I was still doing modeling and commercials. Um, I moved to California after that, to pursue acting even more, with my whole family. And I just kept going from there. I never stopped.
