Young Hollywood

Would you rather fight off zombies or fight off this boy crazy like an army of those crazy boys. Here with the absolutely stunning Lauren Cohan. Good to see you.

Lauren Cohan

Good to see you.

Young Hollywood

You look beautiful. You look elegant.

Lauren Cohan

Oh thank you. I feel very

Young Hollywood

No, you look adorable.

Lauren Cohan

Thanks. Not moving my legs, not moving my legs. I'm not moving at all after seeing the boy last by the way. I'm not good with horror. Are you good with watching that kind of genre?

Lauren Cohan

I have such a weak stomach for horror. It's it's pretty funny that I do so much horror because I I definitely get spooked.

The Boy

If you leave him alone, he'll give you a sign.

Young Hollywood

This is like some kind of magic trick, right?

The Boy

It's not a trick.

Young Hollywood

Tell me about the real Brahms. He was downright strange. You're just you're just everyone's giving you a rough time. Whether it's the Walking Dead or like you cannot catch a break.

Lauren Cohan

I know. It's always intense.

Young Hollywood

But what's really funny is I've seen interviews that you've done before. You're actually really funny and you're a great storyteller.

Lauren Cohan

It's funny. I know. It's like they said there's these three doors. One's funny and these two are terrifying and I always choose B and C.

Young Hollywood

Um, so in the film you play a nanny

Lauren Cohan

Mhm

Young Hollywood

of a very special boy.

Lauren Cohan

Yes, yes. And that he is not a boy. He is a toy thing that scares. My toy boy you know.

Young Hollywood

Your boy toy.

Lauren Cohan

My boy toy. Yeah, yeah.

Young Hollywood

Have you ever had any crazy and I'll extend it to babysitting?

Lauren Cohan

I definitely don't have horror stories to do with that. I have good stories. I mean, when I first came to L. A. my aunt and uncle Tay and David I'm gonna tell them to watch this now. Shout out. Um, they uh very very lovingly housed me and drove me to auditions and I helped look after their girls and so I had that was my that was my good nanny story. I haven't had anything terrible.

Young Hollywood

A chauffeur for your auditions? I think that's pretty awesome.

Lauren Cohan

I know. Yeah, yeah.

Young Hollywood

Because I know actors. A lot of times you'll have more than one a day. You'll have to change in the car, do your make up in the rear view mirror, put on like whatever you have to do so you could just sort of sit back and enjoy the the ride.

Lauren Cohan

Yes. Yeah. And not have to deal with the L. A. road rage.

Young Hollywood

Not have to deal with it. It was it was really handy because I think many people can attest to how intimidating it is to come to Young Hollywood. The city. In the film there was a set of rules.

Lauren Cohan

Yes.

Young Hollywood

It was like follow the rules or a naughty boy. Annoying boy will surface. So I wanted to know. I'm going to name three of the rules from the film. Okay. I want to know which one you would have the hardest time with in life in real life. No boyfriends. I can do that. Stay inside at all times. I'm gonna decide at the end of the film. Or feed him every day. Yes. Cooking cooking for someone everyday. Staying inside all the time or no boyfriends. Which one would be the toughest?

Lauren Cohan

Oh the hardest one. Oh staying in I think it's a tie. I mean love and and being outside. I think those are two two essentials.

Young Hollywood

Okay. Oh, it's too too difficult. Come back to me at the end. No, you wouldn't you wouldn't be good at following the rules.

Lauren Cohan

No I wouldn't be good at following rules. Yeah, exactly.

Young Hollywood

Have you had any sort of crazy because there's like this element of is the house haunted? Like what is going on? Have you had any any haunting any experiences?

Lauren Cohan

Yeah. We we lived actually a good a good creepy incident just where we shoot Walking Dead in Georgia. These are some of these are second hand experiences. I don't think I'm very open to the occult. Like I don't think that if there are ghosts I don't think they talk to me. But I think that they do some people are very sensitive to it and that it's very possibly real. And I have friends that are extremely rational people that have had experiences that are to me undeniable. Just like a bed and breakfast that's not too far from where we shoot that um two of our makeup artists stayed in and had you know strands of their hair and many footprints like muddy footprints were all over the sheet the next day and actually gives me the chills talking about it because I remember when they told me how spooked they still were.

Young Hollywood

Somebody's talking about you though. Oh. Maybe they're telling the story.

Lauren Cohan

They could be. Yes. That's interesting. It's like your ears burning.

Young Hollywood

Yeah. Yeah, yeah. I'm gonna be so cliche right now in the question I'm gonna ask you. Would you rather fight off zombies or fight off this boy crazy like an army of those crazy boys.

Lauren Cohan

Oh zombies.

Young Hollywood

You would.

Lauren Cohan

Yeah zombies because I think the boy can move very quickly.

Young Hollywood

And this boy was so creepy by the way. People coming up to you and sort of saying weird things, asking weird things, craziest sort of encounter you've had. And it has such a huge cult like this. It's such a the show is the fans are so devoted.

Lauren Cohan

They really are. They really are. And it's actually it's not really crazy things that happen. It's just that sometimes people sort of have a wave of emotion and I get it. I mean, I'm a fan of huge things and when you you have an emotional experience watching something happen with the character and that emotional experience was real to you. And so there is sort of this bond. But a lot of the time, you know, I'll meet I was in England over Christmas and I ran out of socks and I just like went to buy some socks and I was in Marks and Spencer doing like a very normal thing. And these two girls were next to me and I was picking out a pair of socks and these girls were like I mean, it was just they couldn't they couldn't even speak or breathe or anything. And they I think they just couldn't believe I was buying socks. I was like everybody wears socks and it was It was really really cute. And she was just like, and uh sweet. But yeah. Nothing too crazy. Just like a lot of girls.

Young Hollywood

Have you done that to anybody? I've I've been a little star struck or you think you're gonna say something really cool when you meet a hero. And you don't remember what you said but I think that happens to all of us.
