My sister is two weeks older than Rosie's brother. I have like a makeup collection. I really like makeup. She always gets my brushes and she's just like wiping them around our hotel rooms that we stay in here. And I'm like, that's really unhygienic. Now I've got to put that on my face and it's been all over the hotel room floor. Like, I don't know who stayed in that room before.
Hey guys, it's Tracy in the Young Hollywood Studio and I am sitting with the one and only Sophia Grace. Which by the way, I am so excited to meet you because I've been following you since you were first on Ellen, which was How old were you?
I was eight and now I'm 12.
Almost almost a teenager, which is really exciting. I can't believe you're almost a teenager. That is Wait, when's your birthday?
Well, my actual birthday is on a Monday, which is really annoying because everyone will be at school. Um, but
That's fun though, right? Because
Yeah, I can yeah. They just will celebrate. Yeah. But then on the Saturday that week, I'm going to go out shopping with my friends and stuff. I'm not actually having a big party because I'm a bit old for that now. But yeah, that's what I'm doing.
Are you ever too old to have a big party, though? I mean, like with a bouncy house.
I don't really need that. But I think I'll have a few family over. But shopping, I mean, that
Yeah, shopping is the best. Is that one of your favorite things to do?
Yeah. I'll go to Oxford Street in London.
Can we come? Can we come to We're gonna we're gonna have to come and fly to London and just do a whole Young Hollywood birthday segment with you. That would be amazing. But so much has happened. You're you're you're 12 now. And what was, I mean, when you think back to the first time you were on Ellen, you did the viral video with Nicki Minaj, Super Bass. Did you always know you wanted to be a singer and a rapper and an actress and everything that you are?
I no, I didn't really. I just used to kind of sing around the house. My parents didn't really take any notice. They probably thought I was kind of annoying. Um, but yeah, and then I think they must have taken notice. Well my my family always used to say, oh, you should put her like to my mom and dad, you should put her on YouTube because if you're not, we're going to. So my dad thought, oh, we better put her on there then otherwise they're going to. And so me and my cousin just it was playing one day like around my house and we just they just filmed us like not playing, but filmed us like me singing and my cousin dancing.
So you and Rosie and you both went on the show and you loved pink tutus and tiaras. That was your
We did.
Do you still love pink tutus and tiaras?
No, I don't. I mean, I don't hate them, but I wouldn't wear them. I think I'm a bit old for that now. But I I prefer more like outfits like what I'm wearing now. And I love mint green.
I love your top.
Thank you.
Okay, which by the way, I was like, I saw that your new favorite color was mint green.
Yeah, yeah. I used to love pink. I mean, I still like it now, but I kind of like more mint green colors.
I was like, I have to I have to find something mint green just for you.
Most of my bedroom is mint green as well. And somehow. So, yeah.
So you do a lot of YouTube videos now and I saw that you did a room tour.
Yeah, I did a room tour. People have been asking me to do a house tour, so hopefully I'll do one of them soon.
So describe your Your room was actually so cute.
My room was most of my fans think like your rooms must be huge, but it's actually not that big. It's just average. Um, and I just have like my bed, my wardrobe, or my closet. Um, my closet, my TV and it's just like a normal room, but I love mint green, so I have this mint green like throw over my bed and I have I love emojis and so I have the emoji poop pillow on my bed.
I was gonna ask you your whole room was white, mint green and pink. And then all of a sudden you look at your bed and you have the poop emoji pillow. I love that. Where did that you just like love that emoji?
I just like I say it's your best friend. It is. It's my only friend. I have um, I've seen like on YouTube other people's room tours and they have that pillow and so I was like, I have to get it. So I ordered it off eBay and then um, and then it came in the post and I went to the post office to pick it up. And the man was like, what is this? And I was like, not for you to know. And so I just took it home and I opened it up and I was like, my new best friend and I put it on my bed.
Do you actually sleep on it? Or is it just more of a decoration?
Uh, it's just like more of a decoration, so I don't actually sleep with it. Um, and then yeah, that would probably be a little weird.
So going back to Ellen, what was you got to interview a lot of celebrities.
Yeah.
You did a tea time segment and I watched your Katy Perry one. That was one of my favorites. That was that was really good. I actually keep like thinking back, who was the first celebrity I ever met?
Yeah, who was the first
I think it was Ellen. It was Ellen. Then then Nicki Minaj, then the probably next person that was famous was probably like Katy Perry because after the Ellen show, we did the AMA, me and my cousin, and the first person we met there was probably Katy Perry. So like the top three first people we met.
Were you nervous just to talk to them or I think I was so young. I don't think you get nervous though, do you?
No. Well, I I didn't used to. I mean, as I've got older, I've got more aware that I'm actually on TV and like, like when I'm young, I didn't really realize like what was going on. I was just excited to be there.
You were always very excited. And it was so cute. I was like crazy.
I'm not like that anyway. Well, I'm I'm still excited to like be here and um, meet people and be in America, but I'm not as crazy as I used to be. It used to be like really excited.
Was there anyone like, who was the I mean, was it Nicki Minaj, Katy Perry, who were you so excited to meet?
Who I don't I don't really know. I love meeting like all like I just forget sometimes about celebrities and then we meet them and I'm like, oh, yeah, I I really like you actually.
Is there someone that you really want to meet that you haven't met yet? That you'd love to interview?
I'd love to meet Beyoncé. Like, I haven't met her yet and she's one of the people I want to meet the most.
That Beyoncé, we have to make it happen. Tell us something about Ellen because everybody loves Ellen too. Is there something that that's really funny about her that maybe people don't know or any funny stories when you were on the Ellen show?
I don't we actually I didn't really get to see her that much. Like, I go, so when we get to the actual Ellen show, we just like in our dressing room hanging around and I used to just like, we used to stay at the show ages, like after we'd been on the show and just like play around and prank people and do fun stuff. It was really fun. And they actually made a toy box for me and my cousin when we was like younger and they filled it with loads of toys. And ever since I've been back.
They gave you a lot of toys on that show, I think. You got a lot of cool gifts.
We we got a lot of gifts, like a lot. And then we did get a cotton candy machine once, but we didn't get to We just didn't we didn't get it. Like, we didn't get to take it home. And I think our parents didn't want us to take it home.
You have been making a lot of music too. You've got music videos. What was that experience like actually working on a music video? Because
It was like it was really good. I've done three music videos now. I I love making music videos. It's better than like going to the studio. I mean, going to the studio is fun and all that, but it can be a bit boring sometimes. But the best part about making music is actually filming the video.
And then you also have a show that you're doing on YouTube, right? Called Pop Star Treats.
Pop Star Treats, which is such a cute idea.
You have to check it out because you did the first one you did was Uptown Funk. Uptown Fudge. Uptown Fudge. Fudge like. So how did you come up with the idea to actually make fudge and then you had like a little marshmallow as a hat?
Well, it wasn't my idea. Secret. It wasn't my idea. Um, but um, we've been like asking like me and who the people that are making the show, um, what we're doing is the first show we did, we told people to comment down below their ideas. And so people have been saying like do an Ariana Grande themed cake or something. And so I'm working on some ideas, but I'm not like good at thinking it so hard.
Do you like cooking? Is that another hobby of yours?
I actually love cooking. I make cakes all the time at home, either with my nan or on my own.
Tell about your little sister because you were so when you first heard that your parents were you and Rosie both so excited. Your moms were pregnant at the same time.
Yeah, they kind of like planned it. Um, what what happened is my sister is two weeks older than Rosie's brother. So it's so cool. Like my sister was born May 20th and Romeo, Rosie's cousin, Rosie's brother, my cousin, was born on June 3rd. So they're like really close in age, so they'll probably go to the same school.
And then you both you wanted a little sister and she wanted a little brother. And then it just worked out. It just worked perfectly. Like that. How does that happen? Right?
I know, it was amazing. Romeo's so cute, so is Belle. But she actually she gets some my nerves sometimes. So that's she can be annoying in that way, but other than that, she's quite cute.
Is she gonna be in any more of your your YouTube videos?
She probably will. Even if she's not meant to be in it, she'll probably be in the background. You'll probably hear her or she'll be in the background doing something like drawing on the floor. Like she did in my last video.
So I want to know what you are loving right now because everybody wants to, you know, like you love fashion, you love music. We're both We were talking about we're kind of like similar. We both have white pants on.
I don't really wear jeans that much. I love my Adidas Superstars very much. They're my favorite. Um, and I usually wear like
What do you love for spring? Like
For spring, like maybe some shorts and nice crop top, not like a proper crop top, but like a flowy nice top. Um, and sandals. Yeah, I don't really know. I don't really wear shoes that much because I'm always in my house. That's. Oh, and I'm always in my house. That's what it looks like, right? Just
Yeah. Do you love any new apps? We were talking earlier actually. That we both like musically.
I love musically. I don't have like a proper musically like for all my fans to see, but I have like a private one that no one knows about, but my friends see and it was on my phone that I have lost now, so I don't have it anymore. But I love musically. Like, it's literally my favorite app. I like me I like first of all, Snapchat the best. Then musically, then Instagram.
Will you make a musically with me?
Yeah.
When we're done, we're gonna do it to your song actually.
Okay. I've never done that on the app. I've never done it to my song.
Okay. So we're gonna we're gonna do that and you have to follow us at Young Hollywood to watch the musically with Sophie Grace. I love you, Monica. So you're 12. What do you see yourself doing in the future? Do you wanna still sing, do you want to rap, do you want to act?
I definitely like want to sing when I'm older. Hopefully have like a few songs out. I don't want to be like a really big pop star because I want to kind of have a normal life as well. But I could be like a little bit famous with a few songs and like that. Just like that. Yeah, I don't know. I don't really know. Yeah, I definitely want to be a singer. And I also love at the moment, um, I love Lush, the bath bomb store. Is that only in England or is that
No, it's in America as well.
Oh. And it just sells like these little things for your bath that fizz. It's so cool. I have like a huge Lush collection at home and it's Easter themed and I haven't even got to use them yet.
Oh, thank you so much for coming in. It was so nice chatting. It was so nice talking. You'll be seeing a lot of Sophie Grace. This fall personality is not going anywhere. And and we're going to make our musically now. Yes. We kind of have to go. Thanks for watching.
