They're good. They're good folks these guys. I had fun leading up to this interview and uh, I'm hoping that it continues that way. It's gonna be awkward if it doesn't.

Let's try. Let's try. Let's try. Okay. It was fun last time. Yeah, it was. Which was 2007. Yeah, seven or eight. I don't know, it's been a long time. So many years ago. And a lot's changed. A lot changed. Yeah. We got a lot changed. Everyone, we gained some weight. We gained some weight. We're a little older.

We got younger. Okay, thank you, thank you.

Um, but yeah, no it's, it's great but the good thing is, you're still going. Yeah. Which is an achievement. Yeah. It's an achievement in in itself in anything in life. Right.

I mean, we, we, we had some time off and we were not doing anything for a while. But um, yeah.

Which is important.

Yeah, which is important. Yeah. We needed that. Grow yourself. Needed to grow.

No, definitely. I'm finding that right now. Definitely growing. Right now. Sounds so wrong. I didn't mean that. Your mind went somewhere dirty. Stop that. Love who loves you back. Yeah. That's important. Yeah, that's important. I find I struggle with that a lot. I love but I don't get love back.

Yeah, we're so we're like so hands on with like, you know, packaging and everything. So, I mean, I feel like people don't do that anymore cause cause people are not buying CDs anymore. But I still I still love it. I feel like it's I and I love to like, you know, when when you wait for a record to come out and then you go and then you see the booklet and the lyrics and everything. So we always, you know, make nice CDs but people are not really buying them.

Yeah. And your fans are massively passionate as well. So there's no way Yeah. I mean I shouldn't there. I mean, I shouldn't that wouldn't want to buy this and keep it.

Exactly. That's why we made it. Yeah. We also have a vinyl and stuff. So we we just love stuff like that. So.

Right. And how long has this been, how long has this album been in the making?

We released the last record in 2009. And and after that we just, you know, took a break and really did nothing except hanging out. Right. And then and then we slowly started like after a year, maybe we started to, you know, write and and go into studio again. And and this is pretty much a collection out of like three, four years of songwriting and producing. And yeah. So some some of the songs are like, you know, a couple of years old and some of them are brand new. So it's it's a best of from the last four years of a break.

And how would you say the music's changed since the 2009 record.

Oh it's changed a lot cause I feel like even in the process, you know, you you change. I mean, I think everyone knows like in five years there's so much that happens and you know, our taste change and also like, you know, what we listen to and what we like. So it's a lot more electronic than the stuff we did before. Um for us it's like always like we want to do what we enjoy at the moment. So, um, you know, because a lot of artists like stick to what they're good at and then you know, and then they have a certain niche and then, you know, they stick to that cause they know it's successful for us. It's all about the change cause we, you know, we like we like to change and we, you know, we want to keep it fresh and um, so we definitely took the risk with that album and made it a little different than the other albums. Some are in it for the kill. Some just do it for the thrill. An archer in your perfect mark. And through, through. So Love Who Loves You Back, we, we picked it as the first single cause it was like one of the songs where you had we had that feeling in the studio. Like everyone was moving and it's a song like I feel like you don't or at least we didn't get tired of it. Like after like, you know, cause sometimes you make an album and then you work on it for so long and then when it comes out you're already like over it. So um, with Love Who Loves You Back was just the only song on the record we're not over. No, but it's just a song we enjoyed so much and we, you know, loved the message too that love has like no age and religion and gender and we had a lot of fun making the video. We had a massive orgy. Um, brilliant. I don't I don't know I I feel like it's like influenced a lot by the you know, nightlife cause we were partying a lot making that album. Um, and we went out a lot. So, uh, it was fun. It was like a big party. We had a studio at our house and at a friend's house and we usually had like after parties there and then we were recording while we were super drunk. We were drunk. Half of the recording. Yeah. Right. Which was the reason why we used a lot of auto-tune. And you hear just random voices in the background. That was her. Yeah, that was him. Yeah.

Brilliant. Um, and then you've got your uh, you've got your tour coming out which is exciting.

Uh-huh. In March. Yeah, we're on tour. Exactly. So we, we start in Europe and then we keep on like adding dates. I think the whole year we're just gonna tour um all over the world and go everywhere and we want to play some shows in the US in uh during the summer and um, yeah, it's gonna be a tour year.

And how is that? Cause you're you've been constantly on the move. Do you get home much now?

Uh, I mean, I mean we spent so much time at home that it's like time to you know,

You like it? You like that?

You know, we like that, but I think for us it's like about keeping that balance. So we definitely need some, you know, time off and spend time at home. We all have dogs and um, good stuff is married and you know, we

That's why he's quiet. That's why he's a bit upset. He has to. There are new rules.

There are new rules. No, but um, you know, we just want to keep that balance, but we enjoy, you know, being on the road and playing live. So, I mean, it's gonna be so much fun.

Where are you excited to go that you haven't been?

Uh, we wanna go to Australia. We we still don't have like any dates, but we definitely Yeah.

You're working on Australia.

Yeah, we have to. Yeah, we've never been there. Right. As a band. So it'll be fun.

And when you're on the road to each of you, what what three things can't you do without? You that you love, you need on the road.

So my dog, I always take my dog. The dog's go on the road. Dogs go with us. Yeah. Um, alcohol, alcohol and alcohol. Alcohol. We always have to. He's definitely married. The three things for me. For me, the three things are Berlin, Tommy and Max. Good stuff. Oh, so cute. That's really lovely. Yeah. Like we're gonna take a mobile studio with us because we're gonna we're gonna have to produce the next record on the road, I think. So, uh, that's what we're gonna do and yeah.
