What was your opening line? You do you you walked up, we were talking to a couple of girls and he just threw the ice down. He was like, now we've broke the ice.

Sean Giambrone

Oh, I It was a good one. It was a good one.

Young Hollywood

I heard a great one. You've got a good one for me? A new one?

Sean Giambrone

It It might be a little ranchy.

Young Hollywood

Let's do ranchy. We can do ranchy. Let's do it. I'm Oliver Trevena here on the young Hollywood sofa, joined by the brilliant Sean Gamberone. How are you?

Sean Giambrone

All good. How about you, Oliver?

Young Hollywood

I'm wonderful now. I've been excited about this. I know. I know. I'm excited about all my interviews, but this one especially.

Sean Giambrone

Oh, great.

Young Hollywood

It's been great. I haven't seen you for a for a few years.

Sean Giambrone

Yeah, it's been.

Young Hollywood

You're 25.

Sean Giambrone

25 now. Yeah, growing up a lot.

Young Hollywood

Last time I saw you was you were just turning 21.

Sean Giambrone

Yes, correct.

Young Hollywood

They were going. Keep fingers crossed. You're growing up on TV. Crazy talk. Crazy talk. But yeah, it's exciting. It's exciting when I first saw you, it was all kind of new and kind of fresh and you know, talking about playing Adam Goldberg as a young lad. Um, and now here you are still Adam.

Sean Giambrone

Still Adam. Still Adam, which helps. Yes, it's been great fun. Just the cast is just such a great crew and they've really been helping me along and trying to do fun different things with Adam.

Young Hollywood

Right, right. It must be crazy because obviously the show is, you know, the premise of the show is you're reliving Adam's life. Um in the '80s. And now you're spending so much time in the '80s. So, so it's pretty crazy.

Sean Giambrone

It It's weird that wallpaper on the walls, like the floral print and all that. And I'm kind of getting used to it now that like rooms like this don't seem that normal. It's just getting weird.

Young Hollywood

It It was most strangest because you're probably more used to the '80s that you come to something like this and you're like, wow, the future.

Sean Giambrone

Yeah. Exactly.

Young Hollywood

Has there been a moment for you um so far that you've loved about Adam's life?

Sean Giambrone

I gotta say, when just him making his movies. One of my favorites was the one where we had to play the Swedish Chef. Okay. That was just a super fun one because we got to throw stuff and go boing and stuff.

Young Hollywood

Sounds like a perfect day. And when you when I interviewed you last, you mentioned how Adam would come to the set and still like that. Is he still heavily involved? Is he still, does he still come by all the time?

Sean Giambrone

He is so involved. It's kind of crazy because there's not enough time in the day to be Adam Goldberg.

Young Hollywood

Right, right.

Sean Giambrone

He's editing, he's writing, he's he's approving hair, he's approving makeup and wardrobe. He comes down as much as he can and he gets there more than you think.

Young Hollywood

He's a busy man. It must be crazy for him to come to set and just see his family being a family on TV. That must be pretty weird. Just then having like a person playing him. Right. How would you react to that? That'd be my reaction. I'd just freeze up. I'd freeze up. That's what I'd do. I'd freeze up. I'd freeze up. I wouldn't expect it. Really? No. It would have to be late night. Have to be late night TV. They're naughty. They're a naughty family. Naughty family. Naughty family. How's it been for you? Cuz obviously being so young, school work. Like being spending all this time on set and stuff like that.

Sean Giambrone

It's interesting. I'm still technically enrolled into a public school. And

Young Hollywood

Wow, your attendance must be low.

Sean Giambrone

Oh, so low. Like, I think I broke the attendance system thing.

Young Hollywood

Right. Right. You broke the record. There's a plaque on the school now that says, Sean Gabronie, the worst attendance ever.

Sean Giambrone

That'd be cool. That'd be cool. That'd be terrible. No, let's not put that plaque up.

Young Hollywood

Yeah, no plaque.

Sean Giambrone

But um, then they just send the curriculum and my tutor on set just keeps me up and then I hop in at the end of the year.

Young Hollywood

So you're still in the same school. They just send you the work to do on set. Yeah. Do your friends love it? Do you still keep in contact with all your friends that you had before the show started and now and now obviously they must be proud.

Sean Giambrone

They are. But I have been keeping in touch with them and they think it's cool, but they think it's kind of weird just seeing me on TV and stuff.

Young Hollywood

Being in the '80s and now being in the future, what things do you wish that you could take from the '80s and make here now? What things do you think people are missing out on? Apart from the music was a lot better. Do you like the English Beat?

Sean Giambrone

The English Beat? I just got started on. Oh, no. I don't. I don't know the English Beat.

Young Hollywood

This is an '80s this is '80s. Yeah, I'm going to check it out. Let's just pretend for now that it's real. Let's in this moment. I think you probably might be right. And I'm just proving my lack of music knowledge. But thanks for that, Sean. I thought I was very clever. What else in the '80s?

Sean Giambrone

Um, video games. I love the video. Just how original they were and like Legend of Zelda. That's like one of my favorites.

Young Hollywood

Got you. Tell me what else is going on. Exciting Disney XT movie.

Sean Giambrone

Yeah, I played the lead's best friend. And I tried to protect him through his struggles of trying to get a license and get this girl of his dreams to get to a party of his dreams and

Young Hollywood

Dreams are important. Yeah, it's a Disney thing though, right? Cuz where dreams come true.

Sean Giambrone

Where dreams come true. They do at Disney. Yes. So

Young Hollywood

You you help me make my dreams come true. We were just talking about the times we go out. Oh, yeah. We go out a few times. Sean's my wingman. Sean's my wingman. It is pretty wild.

I can do ranchy. I'm 25, Sean. Let yourself go. I'm 25. Jeez. Yeah. Let yourself out. Come on. A little free you want to make it. Um, oh, it was like something like, Together we're Little Caesars. You're hot and I'm ready. I like it. I I love it. I absolutely love it. It It makes me laugh. Sean Gabronie, me, we are bros. Check him out in the Goldbergs.
