I couldn't be more excited. Terry Crews in the house. You walk in the room and there's and I don't even have to ask for it.
Hey, you don't have to ask. No, no. It's what I do. It's what I do.
I don't even have to ask. It's just what you do. Thank you for doing that. It's become like a right of passage.
It it is. I mean, you're not truly a man until you can do that. You know what? What's so crazy? I've seen actors, and they literally don't like things they've done in the past, and I don't understand it. Right. I love everything I've ever done. There's nothing that I like So, is there one role you really regret? I'm like, no, not at all. No, it's all been good. Right? If I didn't if I didn't love it, I wouldn't do it.
Actually, there's I I'm going to quote you because you said, "I exist to show you what's possible."
That's it. I exist. Terry Crews exist to show you what's possible.
Explain that.
And you know what? Look, you got to know where I come from. I come from Flint, Michigan. It's the toughest people in the world. Yeah. have come up in Michigan. When it's cold, it's cold. When it's hot, you're really hot. You know? And when you're broke coming up in Flint, Michigan. I I know listen, I have friends who are no longer here. I have friends that have, you know, went the wrong route in life. I have friends that are living a lot less than what they were supposed to do. And me, I was I wasn't supposed to be where I'm at right now. I know and I'm so thankful for just being here. People tend to think everything's special. They tend to say like you have it or you don't. Well, I'm here to say that that's a lie. Because I had to learn what I had to do. It's a skill. It's something that you really just keep practicing, keep practicing. And this is why I decided to host World's Funniest Fails. All right, now, I'll present the ill-advised coffee delivery and over-reaction of the week. Oh my God! Oh! Oh! They it's not nice. The reason I took the show was to show that failure is necessary. It is absolutely imperative that you make mistakes. Because you know the mistake everybody makes? They're trying to be perfect. Yeah. And perfect is impossible. Yeah.
So, let's talk about your fails.
Oh.
Let's talk about your fails.
There was a Monday Night Football. I was knocked out on Monday Night Football. I knocked myself out. It was all my fault because you you in football, you're never supposed to drop your head. Well, I'm just running. And all of a sudden, I just fly in there with my head first. And boom. And all of a sudden, I'm face down. And I was playing with the Chargers at the time. And we were playing the Colts. But I see the horseshoe on the helmet and I'm like, "Guys, what does the U mean? What what is the U all about? Are we in you are you?" And they're like, "Uh-oh. Uh-oh. He got hit." And all of a sudden, they start yelling things about football. And I know I'm a football player, but I don't know what they mean. So, I'm literally I'm I'm I'm about to cry because I know I'm about to lose my job. But they're like, "Okay, we got to punt team punt." I'm going to punt. I know I punt. But what do you do? What's a punt? What's a punt? And I knew I was on that team. And I was freaking out.
Wow.
But it was it was that was a fail. It was and it was funny.
Wow. Um, I have a little tiny request for you. I know back in the day, you used to do portraits. Yes. In the NFL.
Yes, I did.
You're a great drawer.
I paint and draw. What would you like?
Oh, just sketch something.
What do you want me to sketch? Yourself? Maybe.
You know what? I'm gonna try. I'm going to draw
I mean, if you insist.
I know. I'm gonna try. I if you beg, okay.
It's gonna be quick. It's gonna be quick.
You know what? It's fine. I'll see that there. All right. You got a pose for. Oh, I like this already. Oh, yeah. I see it right there. It's gonna be big hair. Uh-huh. Hair's looking good. Go. The flow is going. Oh, yeah. Got to get the eyes because they they really are fake eyelashes. Get the fake eyelashes. The windows to the soul are the eyes. Let's see. What So what about you? How is everything going with you?
Uh, you know what? Everything's been going great. You know, it's been really busy. Life's been good. We're heading to the Super Bowl soon. Do you ever go to the do you hang out at the Super Bowl?
Uh, you know what? Actually, I've been to so many Super Bowls. Uh, it depends because I I have the NAACP Awards. I was nominated for that this year, which was really awesome. And we got the SAG Awards coming because Brooklyn Nine-Nine was nominated for a SAG Award. So, it feels good. You know what? Can you draw and talk at the same time? Uh-huh. And I'm I'm going to just show you this just to see if it works out. It's really quick. What? Stop it now. Wow.
I know it. I love it. I hope you like it.
That's fantastic. It's really fast. You really did get the fake eyelashes.
You said it. I did it.
You really did. That's as fast as it can go. I'm going to give you a little gift. I am an artist all the way. Hold on. It's all good. It's all good. Let me take the plastic out because, you know, and the security tag and things. Okay. We made sure we took that out for you. I just make sure we got that. And you know, I got a really big head. So, I need the last two probably maybe. And I got a little ash thing going on. Please don't leave. Just stay. No. I'm good. I'm good. I'm sorry. I got too many jobs. I got to go. Oh, no, wait. I've got one more thing. I've got one more thing. You always are in the red carpet. I notice you're leaping. You do the leaping thing.
Yes. I do. Uh, because for me, it's really about showing the zest for life. To me, it's not about being cool. Cool is the is the quickest way to mediocrity. Trying to be slick and whatever. I like to let it all hang out. I like to get make my mistakes in front of everybody and show you that it's no big deal. It's really not that big a deal. So, then it's just sure that I can do it. And I love that. So, we do it. Shall we do it? I'll jump in the middle. You can do the leap. I can breathe. I just don't want to kick you in the head.
No, no. No, no. We're going to move. We're moving. Just go in the middle. Let's move the furniture. Okay, here we go. Here we go. All right. Moving furniture. And ignore the phone. Watch your head. Watch your head. Yes. And that's okay. We take the hat off. And are you ready? One, two, three.
