Is that it? That's it! I'm gigging on you. I'm gigging on you. I just smile, show my dimples and call it a day. 'Cause I cannot do it. Tyra Banks, come save me! Um, I can't do it.
This is the Dimple Twin Show. You should say Dimple Twin. Your dimples are hot.
Thank you. Yeah. I feel like they are making me very sexy.
Yes. You do. You look sexy. Thank you. I saw this picture on your Instagram this morning. I was like, I hope she's wearing that when she comes in. What is it about the off-the-shoulder?
Wonders, okay? I don't know, I really don't.
You have off-the-shoulder. I don't. I have a turtleneck situation. But trust, I I embrace it. And it's just like normal hot.
Normal hot. Yes, right? What it is. All girls
Normal hot. Yeah. Normal
Yeah, it's very true. And you're No Angel.
I am No Angel now. That's crazy. Tell me about that and how you became a part of that.
Well, they contacted my team, and they were like, we would love for Danielle to be a part of the "I'm No Angel" campaign #imnoangel. And it is to embrace your curves so that you love yourself and everything about yourself. And, um, that I could not pass up. So,
No way. You've probably seen on my Instagram a few videos and all of that. Yeah. But it is so brilliant. I think it's so smart. How had nobody thought of that before?
Right. And it's really not, it's no shade to the Angels. It's no shade to the Angels. It's just 'cause you don't have to be over a size 10 to be considered "I'm No Angel." You know that, right?
I do know that. It's all about, you know. I thought I think you're sexy. I think you're really sexy.
Thank you.
When you guys go back to set, like the first day you've been on hiatus, and you see each other again, what is it like?
It's crazy. I want to know. You don't even know, like, you have to come.
It is, if this is an invite, I'm coming.
But, um, yeah, oh my God, it's like school girls. They really have to be like, shut up, girls. Be quiet. It's time to shoot. 'Cause we just are so silly, and we cut up, and we sing, and we rap, and It's like a sorority and like we're in college, but not like like, not grad school college, but like freshman college. We just might act up, okay? Take care of your girl. I ain't going to keep her. It's you or the show. You want to be responsible for that? Really? Suzanne. Sit down. Tasty is still growing. I cannot describe to you the evolution of who this girl is becoming. Blows my mind. It really does. There's so many times that I went to the writers, and I'm like, really this is what we're doing. And they're like, yeah. I'm like, whoa, okay, okay. And it's been exciting to take that journey.
And it's amazing, too, because I know you were meant to be a couple episodes.
Yeah, I was.
Did you feel it at the time? Like, if I do well, this could turn into? Or you just didn't even think about that?
No. I didn't even think. I had auditioned for this uh pilot that didn't end up getting picked up, but it was my first time ever in front of a camera. And I thought I was very prepared, and I was not. It was the worst experience ever to step on a set and can't even remember like three lines. It was embarrassing to me. And I said I don't ever want to experience that again. And next time I'm on a set, I'm going to be prepared. And so that's what I brought into the next time I was on the set was "Orange is the New Black."
You had a Meryl Streep moment. It's on your Instagram. I think it was at the SAG Awards. Yes. I want to know how that moment was because the photo captures like, you're not going over to Meryl and going like this. She's going to you, and she's like grabbing your hands and she's like, looks like she needed to express something to you.
Okay, well can I be honest?
Yeah. Photos are tricky.
Yeah. We can. No, let's just go with it. Yeah, she was coming to me. She was reaching for me. No, actually, um, the girls in "Orange" after we had won the SAG Award, they spotted thank you. They spotted her, and they were like, oh my God, it's Meryl Streep! So they all went up to her, and I caught it from the side eye. I was like, I got to go over there. And so I did, and it just was a quick moment of her just saying nice to meet you and congratulations.
And then you had a moment with Mary J. Blige.
Yes.
What was that?
Yes, I did. I get excited. I be fan girling. I really do. I went to a concert when it was in South by Southwest, and my hair stylist does her hair. He was like, I'm going to hook you up to see her. She really wants to meet you. I'm like, what? She wants to meet me? So, I go down there, and she's in her sweats, but like fly sweats. And she comes up to me. She rushes to me and gives me the biggest. She's like, oh my God, it's Tasty! I I couldn't believe it. I was like, Mary J is gigging over me right now.
Let's talk about Europe, because you were just there after South by Southwest.
Yes, yes. I went to Paris, I went to Rome, I went to Venice, which is now my favorite place in the world. And I went to one more place, but it's slipping my mind. Oh, Amsterdam.
Oh, that's why you can't remember. It was so much fun.
That's exactly why I can't remember.
I want to kind of put you on the spot for a second.
Okay.
Because you said in one of your pictures, you're working on your smizes.
Oh God, I'm so bad at it. I'm so bad at it. Should we smize together? Okay. I'm going to you, can you show me how to do this? From the Tyra Banks School of Modeling. This is like me, like with my whatever face. And then it's like Smize. I'm trying to connect with you to make sure I'm doing this right. So, what is my lips supposed to do?
I think you're supposed to like slightly I don't know. Tighten them a little bit. This isn't working. Okay. Is that it? That's it!
I'm gigging on you. I'm gigging on you. I just smile, show my dimples and call it a day. 'Cause I cannot do it. Tyra Banks, come save me! Um, I can't do it.
Thanks for coming in to our house. We'll have to have come back. Finally. I know. Please come back.
Whenever you want me. Anytime. Tomorrow. Okay. Okay.
