It sounds British. You know what's funny you say that. I just played King Arthur and Spamalot a couple weeks ago.

There you go. At the Hollywood Bowl. This is it. So you can't I know I have the worst British accent on the planet but they allowed me to, you know, actually play. It's a little bit Stephen Hawking. It's a little horrible, but I did it.

Yeah, it's good. Spamalot. How was that?

Intense. Two week nine day uh uh two weeks of rehearsal.

Yeah. So I just I came from I was doing a movie in Germany. came came and right into Spamalot and they they did not mess around. You know, right on the music, right on the dancing, right on the the scenes it was crazy. You don't stop. You really don't stop. I I tried to stop. I pause. I pause. I pause. I don't stop. Back again. Here we go. Still going. Now we're in Hollywood. That's where we are.

Yeah, yeah. We're here at Complex. Cuz you thought all that, you were so excited about being here. You kept saying every place you were.

Exactly. I was saying Young Hollywood, Young Hollywood. So now now we made it.

How do you not just take pictures of her all day long?

In a nutshell. Loosely based on my life and it has, yeah, all those things. I was a school teacher. I'll teach music in Chicago. My band, the Nasty Delicious. So yeah, it's it's it's me. It's me. So, makes it more exciting.

It's I got those two sides. One is like, you know, let's uh focus, uh make sure, you know, we're doing the work. Let's get this press out. And then the other side is like I can't believe this is happening. So it's like yeah, both is that dichotomy. Look, I can't live like this anymore. This place is disgusting. You're right, man. I've been trying to find a maid to have sex with but it's so specific. What is this? Orange soda. You spilt orange soda on my test papers? No. I spilled orange soda in your computer and I thought quick and used your test papers to wipe it up. Is my computer working? I mean, not if you want to turn it on.

He's finding it very funny. Thank you very much. Not a lie. That's the honest truth. Thank you very much. It makes it so much more enjoyable. We get on the sofa too.

Well, you know it's when we're having a band on there it's just it's got that different energy like we we performing live and even just like when we're doing it with the live audience. Um I have that to look forward to, you know, it's like so you got the comedy and all these great actors and then it's like oh yeah, that's I get to play with my band too. So that it's it's a dream come true for me.

And your band going into it cuz obviously I mean there's there's great tunes in there. And it's always are you working on new stuff? Is it all new stuff?

You know what? Yeah, it's all new stuff. The writers do something like maybe write something uh the lyrics that coincide with the episode, what have you. Some kind of way and then they'll give it to to me and I'll figure out what the you know what it's going to be and then with the band we Nasty Deliciousize it.

And you do Nasty Deliciousize it. Mm. If I just threw nasty at you right now, what's the first first word that comes to mind?

Nasty. Pimples.

Pimples are nasty. Delicious?

But yeah, there there was there was a a scene and I I I see if I was sitting down and Megan was just in the background just and it was like you just looking over at her. Okay. This is fantastic. So, yeah. Can't take your eyes off her.

Yes, you're a substitute teacher for people that don't aren't, you know, familiar yet. Um, you're juggling the band and being a sub.

Playing with the band band didn't make that much money. So, uh, I'll substitute teach on the side, you know, for cash and followed her to her school. They made me the music teacher. Why? Because I'm good with the kids, but the superintendent is a super fan of the Nasty Delicious.

I think it's just being in a classroom, you know, you kind of have these flashbacks. So yeah. That's what I say. Yeah. It does.

Okay, that's good. And being a teacher. How was that? Cuz a lot of people don't know that. You were

I was. I was an actual teacher. I was an actual teacher. It was a lot of uh cuz I was doing so much at one like I was actually pursuing comedy at the time I was doing teaching and I was a bouncer at a nightclub.

But here, but you're right to laugh because I was the guy I wasn't going to like get in mixed up. I was the guy that go get the big guys. Say hey, hey, they're fighting. So that was my

Yeah. Yeah, I would collect the money at the door and then go telling other people. And then um And so so it was a lot of late nights and then getting up to teach kind of mornings. Early morning.
