There's a deck of cards on the table. I'm just throwing something out there, okay? Either you care to teach me or to do a card trick.
I might be able I might be able to do something. Hold on. Take this card. Okay. Don't show it.
Do I do I look at it?
No. You can look at it if you want. You think of a card. Just think of a card. Okay. Okay. Am I supposed to say it? Go.
Yeah. Queen of Hearts.
All right, you go with the Queen of Hearts. Queen of Hearts. Yeah. Uh What card do you have?
Here with the fabulous Lindy Booth and Christian Kane. Thanks for coming in.
Thank you for having us.
I'm going to I'm I I'm going to put you on the spot to start with. Okay. You have 30 seconds to be interesting. You go.
No. You go. I don't know.
Okay. Well, let's I'm kidding.
No, this is a joke though. This is a joke. Okay. This is from the show. Okay. Wait, you weren't in this scene. Do you know what I'm talking about?
No. You don't?
No. Oh, it's when the Italian girl tries to pick up John.
Oh, that's right. I thought I was serious. A little bit.
No, no, no. There was total panic in my head. I was like, going, "Well, I'm a chef. I'm also a country musician. I'm also an actor. I don't know what to do." I'm just telling you, man. I'm selling it.
Listen. So, this show, number two show on cable. And like 15 million viewers like a week or something. Yeah. Was it expect like does this blow your mind this
It does. It does. I mean, it it really does. We're we're doing the show that we have so much fun on. And it's uh it's it's different. A lot of shows are darker. You know, a lot of shows are
And you're
And we're just having fun. We're shooting from the hip. And to have Yeah. The the friends and family, I call them the fans, to come in and and and and support us. It was amazing. We didn't We didn't know. You know, we wrap it all up and then sort of wait and it gets sent out into the world a little bit later. So, it's exciting for us to be able to watch the show with the fans.
Right. And then live tweet with your cast and
We we love the live tweeting.
And speaking of your cast, Noah and Rebecca and just John Larroquette. I know who I know who's like your
He's my hero. Yeah.
Yeah. He's everybody's hero. Yeah. He really is. Right? We should
I'm just really vocal about it on Twitter. We show up in the morning if he's if he's in the first scene showing up at 6:00 in the morning and we're doing a scene. And uh and if he's there, it's like you don't even need a cup of coffee. It's John Larroquette.
Yeah. Right. That wakes you up.
We make fun of him I we got to make fun of him. We make fun of him because he's won so many Emmys for Night Court. Um he used to have a Porsche. You could stop there, but we're not. We're going to go the his vanity plate. his vanity plate was "Many Emmys." Yeah. And so, he kind of makes fun of himself as well, but we make fun of him.
Now, was it tongue in cheek at the time or was he taking himself very seriously at the time? No one knows.
No, I don't know. But now it's very tongue in cheek.
Listen, if you put him if you put a license plate on your car that says, "Many Emmys," you're taking yourself seriously.
Yeah. And it was on a Porsche. And he should. Any vanity plate means you take yourself seriously too.
Yeah. Just my opinion.
I did tell he is the best. I told him on our first day that I was like, "It's going to get weird for you. I'm just going to walk around follow you and stare at you a lot." And so, Yeah. We've become a family. We love each other so much. And it's just And and people always ask They're like, "Well, what what are the uh what what what are the pranks you play on set?" Like all this stuff. The pranks we play because we filmed this show in seven days. Should be 10 days, but it's seven. Right. Yeah. The pranks we play on each other are usually onscreen. So,
Right. What you see
If you see us mess up, 100% of the time we messed up.
Well, because that humor that you guys have on the show that is so unique that I don't think any other show has. Yeah. And and that's exactly what you're talking about. So, you can be goofy and you can do all that whole thing. And and it works.
And so much of our characters, too, there is so much of us in there. And as we have become sort of a tighter unit and because we're all so different in the same ways that our characters are also different, I think it's really funny to watch us sort of like play off of each other and be goofy with each other.
So, what I love about the show is there's so much magic.
Oh. Because my Twitter handle says, "Expect magic." Like in life. That's sort of my like my mantra.
That's great. Um thanks. I'll let you guys answer for each other, most magical quality about the other person.
Oh. Well, I have Okay. I'll go first. I'll go first. This woman is I'm not hitting on her. She's her her husband is a very good friend of mine. I'm not She has some of the best style.
I thought you were touching her. I know. I was like, "Oh my God, get your leg off my leg."
She's always she's got the best style that I've ever seen. I She you walked in and I said, "I love that dress." Yeah. I love her style. She's always to the nines. And it's It may be a little it it may not I don't know. I just I really love everything that she wears. Even showing up in the morning to to before makeup, we're talking 5:00 AM. Yeah. She's got stuff on.
Yeah, even if it's pajamas that she wore to work. It's always
It's always right on the back. I'm just telling you. And I know.
No pajamas to work with Uggs. I would do that.
No. Well, that's part of it, man. She just has I love her style. I love the style that she has. And that's that's that might be one of her Now the pressure's on you to come up you know.
Oh, it's super easy. It's super easy. Christian is a Renaissance man. Like, who does that? Like he's so into like cooking and music and acting like he does it all. And all of these incredible qualities that you would never like throw together in one man. This guy manages to do it. And it's crazy. It's super cool. It's totally interesting. You could be interesting in 30 seconds. He has his own cooking show. You don't even know.
Wait. Do you?
Yeah, he does. Kane's Kitchen. It's on iTunes. It was number one on iTunes. We beat like Shark Week and we beat like John Stewart's last week. It's called Kane's Kitchen. And it's just me cooking for uh
So, there's proof. It's on television. It exists.
It exists. It exists. Yeah. And I'm trying to teach guys to cook for girls, but I'm but it's not like it's not like I'm not trying to teach him to to this is how you get a girl. I'm saying if you put food in one hand and effort in the other, she's going to be impressed.
Spoken like a true Renaissance man.
You know what I mean? It doesn't even have to be great. As long as you And don't have her don't show up and have the meal cooked. Have her there. Give her a glass of wine. You know like like or him. Whatever you you know. And and cook in front of someone. And I, you know, and it's it's it's it's not trying to score. It's trying
Yes. It's trying to bring romance romance into the kitchen.
It's bringing Thank you so much. It's bringing romance into the kitchen. You know what I mean? And I think a lot of guys don't don't put the effort in. And and so I'm trying to teach him I'm in L. A. I know all you know what I mean? I know about lack of effort. Give me to the restaurant. Yeah. Exactly. You don't even need to tell me.
Last but not least, um there's a deck of cards on the table. I'm just throwing something out there, okay? Either of you care to teach me or to do a card trick.
I might be able I might be able to do something. Hold on. Take this card. Okay. Don't show it.
Do I do I look at it?
No. You can look at it if you want. You think of a card. Just think of a card. Okay. Okay. Am I supposed to say it? Go.
Yeah. Queen of Hearts.
All right, you go with the Queen of Hearts. Queen of Hearts. Yeah. Oh. What card do you have?
No! The Queen of Hearts. Magic! Oh my Gosh! Oh my Gosh! There was no sort of special effects involved with this trick. No CGI. No CGI. Genuine magic. Thank you both for coming in. Congratulations on The Librarians. Such a popular, great show. Thanks again for coming in.
