What's up? Hollywood today with our two favourite Netflix stars. How are you guys doing today?

So I'm gonna be here.

Yeah, The 90 Show. How do you How do you feel that it's coming out on that very soon.

I'm like that. You know that. Nervous. Excited where? It's, like overwhelming excitement, but also a little nervous. I'm somewhere in that general vicinity. Second guest: I have just been in shock, Like, ever since I got the role. I'm just basically been like, this is not happening. I can't believe it. And it still hasn't processed, and it still hasn't hit me. And I feel like once the show actually comes out in a week from today, that's what I'm gonna be like. Okay, this happened.

Do you obviously, like you have stranger things. You have Virginia and Georgia shows blow up on that place. And this one already has 8. 2 million views on the trailer. Like that's just the trailer. Nothing out yet. Are you kind of expecting like your life to change overnight or have you not thought about it?

A very intelligent answer for me. I need a second to think I remember. So I think the first episode Tougher. And Wilmer came in and we were talking to them. And I was like, Yeah, when that 70 show came out, we thought that we were going to be famous, like, right away. And then no one knew who they were so, like, seven seasons later. So I'm definitely, like I'm expecting people to know who I am more than now, I guess. But I'm not expecting to become, like, super famous or anything like that. I just want people to like the show for what it is. And, you know, whatever happens, snaps to that.

Did you watch that show before you ever even casted for the nineties? One. Second guest: I watched it. I think I watched it three times, all the way through my family. I would binge it all the time. And then during Covid, we watched it again. So that was either three or four. And then when I I saw them announce it, I was like, I need to get in on that. And then, you know, I thought I wouldn't eventually four months down the line here I was on the set and I was just like, I also haven't quite processed it yet. Insanity. Max is like the biggest fan show. When we I first met him, he was like, Oh, my goodness. I looked at I always feel like

Okay, guys. Okay, so I hadn't seen that 70 show. But once I got the audition, like, what's the audition for it? I was like, Okay, well, I need to watch. Like, I need to do my research. You know, if I'm gonna audition like, I need to see that so many show. Obviously. So I washed it, and I immediately fell in love with it. I was like, Oh, my goodness. Like I want to be part of that God. And then once I got through it, I was like, and I'm still in shock. So a full circle moment for us. But just to know that you actually watched it through everything, and I'm watching it. No one got the part. I've seen the whole thing. It's so it's so good. Second guest: It is totally surreal is the perfect word for it. Like sitting on those sets that I watched for years to just be like, Oh, my gosh. I mean the base. Yeah.

What do you remember from the casting process. Like, when did you get you should do it and then you find out? Second guest: Mine was, unless you want to answer first.

Okay. So mine, Essentially, I think I auditioned in October and or yeah, like end of October. And then I just sent in a video of myself and and then I had to do a chemistry read, you know, like a week or so later. And I did the chemistry read, and I think that's all I did. And then I think I got there like it was a very simple process. And then I had to do so many chemistry, reads with characters that hadn't gotten the role yet because I was the first one cast, which is kind of insane. But I basically there was one day where I did, like, nine chemistry reads with the person auditioning for a layup. And then I remember, like when I didn't mind with Max and I did one with Bren and Kelly, I'd like you just know you're like, Oh my gosh, like this person is saying like I was with Mac and I was like, This kid better get the freaking role because he was. So Yeah, it was a fairly simple process for me, at least, Second guest: mine was wild. I I sent in an audition in October as well, and then I didn't hear anything until January of the next year. And I think what ended up happening was that my tape had sort of gotten lost in the shuffle. And then they sent the audition, like, back out and my agent. So I was like, Wait, guys, you guys, you already have. That was like, Well, thank you. But then after that, I think I had a call back with the casting directors on Thursday. On Saturday, I had, like, a direct session. And then by the next weekend, three chemistry reads one with you, one with Mace and one with Sam. And it was absolutely Saturday and then within, like, a week after that for, like, three months hiatus. I had the part like so, yeah,

would you say your like your characters in any way you like? Maybe like one,

I think, Yeah, I think Nate is very I love how they had the character description that he just takes everything with a huge smile, like I like to think I do that. I think I have a little bit of a switch to a bit more of like a side. If that makes sense, I can get grumpier than they. He's always just so happy. But it's super grumpy, so grumpy. I'm often looking around. But Nate is just He is very slow. I hope that I'm like that. For the most part, I'm kidding. I'm kidding. Second guest: Okay, So, Gwen, her character description was a petite powerhouse in pink hair. So I don't have pink hair, either. Yeah, picture. I have a picture. Purple, purple eye that's like your one thing that you always I always say, It's my thing. I If I have an outfit that doesn't work, I have the excuse me, I have to wear this job did very solid. I think it was like lime green. I had hoped it was Navy blue, but I wasn't completely convinced that that it might be like. But then I I saw your jacket. I was like So Anyway, Gwen is a powerhouse with pink hair, and then I auditioned and they were like, Wow, we like your energy like you have an energy that sort of vibrant because Gwen is a right girl like she's a rebel, you know? And I guess I brought this other side. That's more I don't really know what it's called. Like what I It's just a word that totally made me think. In the original character description for Nate, he was like corn fed Midwestern who really wants a Ford F 1 50. I'm like corn fed Midwestern. I think I've got that down. And then my grandfather had given me his like, 20 year old Ford F 1 53 months before it was crazy. Sorry, it's meant to be. I think both of us are like characters. Yeah,

I love the fact that Netflix has put out or whatever and then, uh, representing your characters. And then you see you in person. I love that long, beautiful it Okay, you ready for the game? A trivia game for a reference. It's a combination of nineties seventies in your personal life and your classmates from that So good at games A Are you competitive? You guys are competitive.

What is it behind the scenes storey? That obviously doesn't know much yet. But what's like a fond memory that you have from shooting behind the scenes?

Well, there's this tradition that Oh, I know I was just saying that to but there's this tradition that we used to where we all put our hands in the middle for the curtains open. And then we all say our favourite line from the show built it out together, and it's like a good luck tonight. That's an awesome, which is really like that Helps come. Yeah, yeah, for me, it converts it from nerves to kind of adrenaline. Here we go. Yeah, that's why you carried it over Debra Jo. Gurban brought it in. They told us about it. The first live taping night, and that's when it became a tradition. Re became a tradition.
