I was here once for um 36 hours and uh I was here, I had another movie screening actually in the exact same auditorium that we uh screened Come As You Are. And um I got very, very, very, very drunk last time I was here. But I loved it. And it was

One thing I I wanted to just talk about was the responsibility of portraying uh disability. How how did you guys feel about that? How did that work out on set?

That obviously was a huge responsibility and that was something that we went into with our eyes open. Um and uh I mean, you know, as actors, all you really want to do is just do justice to the characters and um and now, you know, in this particular movie, we have a responsibility to um to to uh pay respect to the disabled community and um we actually, I mean, we had amazing we had amazing supporting actors with disabilities. Um I mean, you know, Delaney right here, this is I Was this your first movie?

Mhm. Yeah. First film ever.

Wow.

Um I graduated college and then walked onto the movie set the next day.

How literally? I was like, you on for this? I need that kind of gig.

It was the next day.

A cast sitting with me um did nothing but their utmost information and work to do these characters justice. And Asta who um the role is based off of Grant's film. Asta Philpot. It's a true story that it's based on a true story that was turned into a Belgian film, but Asta Philpot. He and I became very, very close over the course of making this and I'm actually trying to get him I don't know where he is right now. I know. We're trying to find him. We're trying to find him.

Road trips that just bond people?

Haven't we all like been trapped in the car with our family before? And like it's just like being in close quarters and smelling each other's farts and bad breath and like it creates a family.

It was one weird day. One day, we had beans for lunch. It was hot. And I'll never forgive you, Grant. I'll never forgive you.

Ooh, that's a good one. That's a good one. Dr. Pepper on the road, shoot. What was one of your guys's favorite uh scenes to film?

There was one particular scene um with the whole, you know, uh where where a lot of the story comes to a head. uh and it's all like most of the main cast is in there and that was just like all these great actors at the top of their game just delivering and uh I mean, uh the director, Richard Wong just I mean, he was also the cinematographer so he was in there with the camera. There were two cameras going and it was like probably the coolest day in my professional career.

Robbie who plays Mo, like I had to help him to the shower. They offered him like nudie underwear and he said, no thank you. So he did the entire scene completely naked.

And you were comfortable. What? I I mean, what?

Yeah, sure. The human body is beautiful, you guys.

Last question. Last question. Last question. Um Have you guys ever sneaked out or snuck in? What is it? What's the correct way?

I've I've snuck out. Just from home, from away from parents. Just home. From away from parents.

I uh never snuck My parents will kill me, but I've snuck out of class early all the time. I'll be like, I I need to use the bathroom, Mrs. Kippin. Can I use the bathroom? And she's like, you better come back. I'm like, I will.

You were such a bad kid.

I used to finish all my work early and then I'd just leave.

Okay, you had a reason. You had a reason.

I never did that. I've noticed that. I've never.

I have. Yeah, I've snuck out of the house. My parents caught me. I got a call.

Yeah, I like snuck out and I was gonna go like camping in the woods.

Okay.

Why? Wow.

And I snuck out. And I got a call and they were like, well, we want you home in 20 minutes. And I was like, about that.

I like that you sneak out to like go camping in the woods. Not to like go make out with your boy.

Well, I mean, Things are happening at the camp Things are gonna happen on the campsite, right? Things are gonna happen on the campsite.

I did sneak out of class all the time because like my like, oh, I would sneak out cuz okay, so I'm like, grew up in the nineties. So I would sneak out of class to go to TRL. Yeah. Yeah. Cuz I'm from New York. I would definitely go down and wave at the window of TRL.
