Hey, what's going on? I'm Chad with Young Hollywood and Vitamin Water, and I'm joined by the director of Teenage Paparazzo, Adrian Grenier.
Adrian, we wanted to know what initially attracted you to this particular project?
Uh, those crazy kids out there taking pictures and taking pictures of celebrities no less and posting them all over the place.
Now, you being a celebrity and taking this kind of ulterior perspective, have you learned anything, you know, coming from their eyes?
Absolutely.
I mean, this whole journey that I took with this young kid, uh, has been a complete education for me.
I thought I was going in there to to maybe help the kid and guide him a little bit, but what ended up happening was he became the teacher and I became the student.
The last time we caught up with you, you were making the film and there was this all this hype about you and some scandal with Paparazzo.
Now let's talk, I know you're doing a documentary you're working on about the paparazzi, the dreaded paparazzi.
What what made you want to do a documentary on that?
Uh, actually I'm doing a a documentary on media culture.
It seems to be a lot of focus on the wrong types of information.
It's a wonder that people are focused on very superficial, um, unimportant or at least what I find to be unimportant things.
And do you think that that's like their goal is to just to make up lies and make money?
You know, I don't know if it's so much lies.
I mean, you know, there's a fine line between the a lie and the truth.
I think it's more about, you know, stories and um, communication.
I I'm excited about sharing this movie because it is about empowerment.
And I, you know, I'm no different than anybody else, um, and I I took a camera, I I shot some footage, I edited it and I put it up in a in a film, you know, much like people do all over the world.
Really excited to see it.
But did you have any crazy run-ins?
I would imagine there have been some one acting out irrationally with the paparazzi while filming.
You know, I I actually, uh, tried it out myself and, uh, remarkably it can be pretty exciting, but for the most part, it's very boring.
There's a lot of waiting around and, uh, a lot of patience and, uh, it's, you know, it's there's work involved.
I was kinda wondering one time when I lived in LA, how do they find you guys?
I mean, how do they have people just mapped out, you know, posted?
Uh, you know, that's a talent that I still have not been able to understand.
I mean, these guys, uh, and girls, they have this innate knack to just spot celebrities.
You ever had any experience, you know, personally where you're just like, you know, it's this is enough.
I'm just trying to walk down the street.
Yeah, I mean, they can push you, you know, to a point where you you might snap.
Uh, that's why it's always important to when you feel that coming on, dip out as quickly as possible, take a deep breath because you don't want to be caught doing something, uh, too aggressive or or stupid.
Absolutely not, because then they're going to showcase that.
Well, we thank you so much for the time, Adrian.
We're really excited for the movie, Teenage Paparazzo.
