Oh, yeah, we're in Jingle Ball in Dallas. It's the energy is amazing.

This is your hometown.

This is my hometown, too. Okay, cool. Yeah, it's good. You see a lot of familiar faces, and the crowd is just nuts. They're so excited to be here, and for us this was like a warm welcome to get this whole year, this month started off.

So and you just had a new EP released called Sway.

Yes, Sway.

So first of all, I, I'm, I'm beyond obsessed with your songs. Not only Cake by the Ocean, I'm like that was the first when I first heard it, I was like I had it on repeat, I'm not even kidding, like 500 times a day. It's just like what makes, I mean you're awesome by the way, you're such a badass.

So how is this whole experience because this is like a whole new thing for you guys and you're just killing it right now. What's been sort of like, I mean now that we're coming to a close of 2015, what's been the standout moment?

Well, we went to South America the other day, and we had to, yeah, yeah. Like on

Why wasn't I there? I feel like I should have been there, right?

That was amazing like yeah. Like. Like finding a corner of your tour bus and just like pretty much live there. Okay. And like that was amazing, like we played Arena, like it was full, you know, like so many people already knew all our songs and sing along with us, it was amazing. And tonight it was our first night in Dallas, Jingle Ball. We were kicking it off. It was kicking off in D. C. It was, it was fun and we just had a blast with, with crowds.

So and for you cuz you performed there a bunch of times. Is it just like what's the whole new experience being with the new band, being in your hometown?

I think the cool thing is that there's been such a warm reaction, you know, from familiar faces to new faces, to new audience members that we're seeing that they know the words to these songs that we just released this EP only a month or two ago and I think the fact that we have a a place in music and we're able to get on stage and rock out and kick this show off, it's a good feeling.

And then I want to talk about your dance moves, because when we were at, I think it was the first show you did in L. A. , you were like all over the place. So do you still do that? Is that like a thing you do at all the shows? Can we get a demonstration possibly?

I mean it's not intentional, but I'm just all over the place in my life, as a human being, as a non-human being, as an alien. When I wake up, I'm just all over the place. So if you try to track me down, you're going to fail.

But I'm not failing so far though. Right, right? Uh uh uh uh

So, yeah, I mean, you know, I just I I have no way other way to exist, but to just be everywhere. So that's what I'll do tonight, that's what I'm going to do tomorrow, that's what I'm going to do in like 100 years, you know, that's the thing.

100 years, well yeah.

Joe. Joe taught me immortality. So we're going to be both, we're going to be a band for like probably 6,000 years. DNCE. Yeah.

I wouldn't, I, I believe it. Cuz I mean if you come up with more songs like what you've done already, then you'll be around for for eternity.

So is it true that you guys also collect cardboard cutouts? Cuz I heard that and you like put them on your tour or something. Tell me about that.

We, we actually collected cardboard cutouts from day one on this tour. We were gifted a Lady Gaga cardboard cutout. The next city.

What are they? Cardboards of who?

You name it, we probably have had it on stage with us. And then we'd grab from uh any radio station basically.

Yeah. So you just take whatever any celebrity cardboard cutout?

So sometimes they give us some. Or borrowed. We tried to like, you know, "Hey, um would you, would you want to give us that?" And then when they say uh "No, no, no, we really like that. We're not going to give it to you," then we just steal it on the way out.

That's kinda so what's have you stolen anything yet on Jingle Ball, Dallas? Is that going to happen?

No, no, no, never in Dallas. We will never steal from Dallas. No.

I feel like Joe, you have to have some maybe stuff at your house, right? Do you have cardboard cutouts there that are

Um, maybe. I just gave away something we shouldn't have talked about. That's fine. If there are there, I think they would be on stage with us if if they're at my place. So as right now there's no cardboard cutouts in Dallas, but we'll find some before we leave.

Okay, and then I'll talk about the hair for a second. We're just getting into the holiday spirit with the blue situation.

Yeah, why not? Blue Christmas. Elvis. Blue Christmas. Blue, yeah, Blue Christmas.

What are your some of your holiday traditions that you're excited about this year? Or that you do every year?

Well, I think we're uh we're big into stockings. You know, like a lot of people are big into the big present. We love stockings, so uh on the Jingle, on the Jingle Ball tour, you're going to see a lot of stocking activity from DNCE, that's all I can tell you.

Oh, yes. Heard it here first. Yes. Lastly, if you could pick one of each other to be your Secret Santa, who would it be?

I'm going to go with the big cat over here. You never know. Yeah. Yeah.

Can't have mine. No. You can't have mine too. I already tipped Joe's hand.

Okay, so are you like the gift giver? Like why are we all choosing you? How does this work? Are they giving you gifts? You obviously give really good presents. Secret Santa. Right? He's like, you give everyone gifts. You look the most like Santa here. Like in 90 years, you're going to be jet white and just like giving gifts.

Yeah. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Just 100%. And he has a Santa hat.

I'm not. I'm just picturing like you guys sitting on his lap asking, oh that's that's interesting. That should be at your next show.

Yes. Done. I just ruined the surprise for everyone. It's actually happening on all the other Jingle Balls, right?
