Two Years After Chester Bennington's Death, Linkin Park's Legacy Lives On

It’s officially been two years since Linkin Park’s lead singer, Chester Bennington, tragically passed away. The shock and sadness have not worn off completely, but the joy in remembering the singer’s life has only been amplified. I grew up listening to Linkin Park, and I was even supposed to see them in concert just a week after this tragic news, so I remember exactly how I felt when one of my favorite childhood bands was ending so suddenly.

All of this sadness and confusion only led to greater things, including an open conversation surrounding mental health. While the tragedy certainly does not get better, the impact of Chester Bennington’s life will always leave a light in the world. I continue to go back to Linkin Park songs and remember the times I listened to them with my dad while driving to dance class. Linkin Park will always have a place in my heart.
