Trouble In Paradise In 'To All The Boys I've Loved Before' Sequel? Say It Ain't So!
Teen Lara Jean Covey (Lana Condor) and the dreamy Peter Kavinsky (Noah Centineo) are returning to Netflix a year-and-a-half after taking the world by storm!
Yes, for all of you To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before fans, the highly-anticipated sequel is slated to release near Valentine’s Day -- how fitting!
The first installment centered around high schooler Lara Jean, whose love letters to her various crushes were received by said crushes. This led to the fake (but not fake) romance with Twitter’s version of the “perfect” boyfriend, Peter Kavinsky.
Well, good old Peter has a chance to be the perfect guy once again in the sequel to the hit film... but not without some competition this time.
Check out the trailer for new TATBILB film:
If this trailer does not instill excitement in your veins for the continuation of Lara and Peter’s romance, then I don’t know what will!
The second film installment centers around Lara and Peter building on their romance, with life going rather smoothly. However, enter one of the love letter guys in John Ambrose McClaren (Jordan Fisher), and a love triangle may be forming soon!
Naturally, a few questions may have arisen in the wake of the trailer:
1. Is John Ambrose Peter Kavinsky 2.0?
Based on the small intro of John Ambrose in the trailer, he seems smooth and hinted at his feelings for Lara Jean. And it certainly seems like he could swoop right in and give Peter a run for his money!
Maybe Lara should lie back down on the school track and think this one through. The film’s central plotline WILL revolve around Peter vs John (maybe a possible new Twitter hashtag war coming soon??)...
2. Just how rocky might it get?
The possible formation of a love triangle is the last thing Lara—or Peter—want in their relationship, which is seemingly in a prolonged honeymoon stage. However, things cannot always remain perfect, and the entrance of John complicates things. Just how complicated things get will determine the outcome of Peter and Lara’s relationship, along with Lara and John’s.
Though it probably hurts fans to see trouble in paradise, the feeling that some feathers will be ruffled is looming.
3. Will Lara choose to be with Peter or John?
Yes, THIS IS THE QUESTION everyone is probably dyingggg to know after seeing the trailer, but unfortunately we won’t know until the film releases. Can perfection be topped? I mean, Peter is the ideal boyfriend for Lara (and pretty much anybody else), but the history between John and Lara may play a factor in addition to how well both may connect as teens in the movie.
Just how excited are you for the new TATBILB film?!
