Director Taika Waititi (who is the genius behind Thor’s reinvention) is coming to TIFF with an “anti-hate satire” that tells the story of a German boy whose imaginary best friend is Adolf Hitler (who is played by Waititi himself). When he finds a young Jewish girl hiding in his home, he is forced to rethink the Nazi teachings that he’s grown up with. Sounds hilarious, right? Scarlett Johansson, Sam Rockwell, Rebel Wilson, and Alfie Allen also star.
