Taylor Swift, Lil Nas X, Post Malone, & More Among the Biggest Winners at the 2019 American Music Awards!

Last night’s American Music Awards brought out music’s biggest stars, but the night went to Taylor Swift and all her golden and sparkly glory! 

The music veteran received the highest honor of the night with Artist of the Decade, being recognized as a trailblazer in music over the last ten years. The award came right on time as the pop star has recently been very vocal about her struggles with obtaining ownership of her own music.

We obviously love when Taylor gets awards (which is a lot), but what we love even more are her genuinely heartwarming speeches that give all the thanks to her fans and all the people who support her. She is a true icon.

The award queen also took home Artist of the Year, Favorite Pop/Rock Female Artist, Favorite Pop/Rock Album, Favorite Adult/Contemporary Artist, and Favorite Music Video.

Of course, the night was all about Taylor, but there were plenty of other favorite moments!

Lil Nas X is moving from one high to another from his Grammy nomination last week straight to his first American Music Award for Favorite Rap/Hip Hop song for “Old Town Road”. The 20-year-old gave a short but inspiring acceptance speech reminding people to never stop pursuing their dreams. He also shouted out his dad who was front and center recording his son’s big moment. What a memorable night for him!

Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes performed their hit song “Senorita” for the AMA audience, who loved every second of it. The pair was complete couple goals in real life and in fantasy, especially when they won Collaboration of the Year. Their joint acceptance speech was everything we ever wanted. 

And lastly, record-breaker Post Malone performed “Circles” from his newest album, Hollywood’s Bleeding, which also won Favorite Rap/Hip Hop Album. The rapper confessed he isn’t the best public speaker but sent many thanks to those who have supported him and his music. He wrapped up his speech with the most important piece of info of the night: he apparently loves grapes. Us too, Posty, us too.
