Jon Cryer Gets 'Hit By Lightning' in New Internet Dating Rom-Com!

It’s no secret that online dating comes with a certain amount of risk. Even still, there are plenty of people willing to take those risks in the name of finding that special someone to spend the rest of their life with. And in the case of Jon Cryer’s character in the new movie Hit By Lightning, meeting someone online definitely comes with some, ummmm, complications.

Ricky Miller is an unlucky-in-love 40-something desperate to meet the woman of his dreams. Or at least someone to share his life with. He decides to take a more pro-active approach by signing up for a dating website, and before long, he finds himself matched up with the alluring Danita (Stephanie Szostak)… who actually seems to really be into him! But there’s a catch…

She’s married.

Oh, and she needs Ricky to kill her husband so they can be together.

You know, nbd. The things we do for love, amirite? So, nebbish Ricky sets about trying to find a way to off his lady love’s hubby, with the help of his game BFF Seth (Will Sasso). What could possibly go wrong? Well, this is a dark romantic comedy, so probably EVERYTHING! Check out the trailer below:
