ICYMI: The Tables Appear To Be Turning In Intense "You" Season 2 Trailer!

Written by Emily Holshouser. Published: December 22 2019

This contains spoilers for Season 1, and oh boy, this isn’t a show you want spoiled for you, so beware! \

The Lifetime-turned-Netflix show "You" is, to put it lightly, very good television. The first season, starring Penn Badgley as Joe and Elizabeth Lail as Beck, is a simmering horror that appears at first glance to be a romantic drama. The trailer for Season 2 takes us from New York to Los Angeles, and Joe -- running from what he did to Beck and his ex-girlfriend Candace -- has a new target in his sights: "Haunting of Hill House" breakout star Victoria Pedretti as Love Quinn. We’re teased by little glimpses of what looks to be a gorier, bloodier season than the first, and a world that is in danger as long as Joe is in it.

Love meets Joe, they fall in love, and we see their relationship unfolding. But while Love is falling for Joe, others in her life are skeptical, and Candace straight-up knows Joe is out for blood. One of the best parts of this show is the balance it strikes between a complicated web of relationships and some good ol’ horror. Joe sits in a bathtub with blood on his hands -- possibly the blood of someone’s killed. He wields a knife in the kitchen, and in a different scene, Candace comes at him with a knife. No matter what else we might see this season, we know there's bound to be some classic fight scenes.

"You" is possibly one of the best shows around right now. There, we said it. Excellent writing, cinematography that is just so clear and sharp and beautiful we may as well hang it in a museum, Penn Badgley’s dangerously beautiful face, and the blessing of Victoria Pedretti’s amazing talents are here to give us a perfect holiday binge-watch.

"You" Season 2 premieres December 26 on Netflix!
