Written by Rishi Patel. Published: December 15 2019

Brace yourself, a longtime Disney favorite is being brought to real-life!

The storied tale of Mulan, which released in 1998 as an animated film, is set to have a live-action edition drop in 2020!

It’s been so long since the animated film released, and now many fans of the original will get the chance to watch the Disney classic again as an adult! Talks for this rendition of the film have been ongoing for a lengthy time, but didn’t materialize until 2015.

Not only was Mulan a great Disney film, it was inspiring, historical, charming, and award-winning.

Here’s the action-packed trailer for the upcoming film that just dropped:

The iconic story of Mulan still looks as inspiring and riveting as ever! With the 2020 remake, the film will appear starkly different and super-advanced compared to the ‘90s animated edition!

The storyline for the new movie is roughly the same as it was for the animated version. Selfless Mulan (Liu Yifei) boldly impersonates a man and joins the Imperial Army of China in the place of her ailing father. She must train resiliently and develop the skills of an unrelenting warrior who can fend off intruders in her country. The new version features some new characters, like a mysterious witch who accompanies the villain Bori Khan (known as Shan-Yu in the animated version), plus we get a glimpse of what appears to be Mushu flying through the sky after Mulan's father asks for the Ancestors to watch over his daughter!

The 2020 remake features an exciting cast of talented Asian actors that includes Jet Li, Utkarsh Ambudkar, Donnie Yen, Jason Scott Lee, and Tzi Ma.

Mulan leaps into theaters March 27, 2020!
