ICYMI: "Grown-ish" Season 3 Premieres This Month With a Major Twist!

Written by Rishi Patel. Published: January 05 2020

After a long Autumn, Freeform’s “Grown-ish” is finally returning very soon!

I know, I know, you’ve probably watched so many shows since then that you completely forgot what’s going on in the life of Zoey Johnson (Yara Shahidi).

Well, let’s just say the upcoming junior year for Zoey and her group of friends is going to be STRESSFUL (academically and personally).

As a little refresher, I’m just gonna get straight to the point and remind you that Aaron (Trevor Jackson) kissed Zoey, who Luca (Luka Sabbat) still loves, and Zoey kissed Aaron, who Ana (Francia Raisa) was just in a romance with (and happens to be Zoey’s close friend). Long story short, it’s going to be a romantic triangle plus one extra side! (Love Square?!)

Now, let’s get to the super-shocking Season 3 trailer that dropped last month!

Five months pregnant? FIVE MONTHS PREGNANT!! FIVE. MONTHS. Amidst your (and my) racing thoughts, the first question that comes to mind is, whose baby is it?!

Well, in a hypothetical world, there are several characters I want to see being parents to the baby.

Wouldn’t it be super juicy to see Aaron and Ana be the parents? Despite Zoey’s possible jealousy and Aaron being stuck in the middle of getting over Ana and hopefully focusing on Zoey, this could be a wanted (or unwanted) spark for a rekindled romance with Ana.

On the other hand, Luka and Zoey being parents to the baby would turn the tables and put Zoey in the middle of a hopeful and past relationship. In addition, fans of the show could agree the two may constantly bicker on parenting style!

Or one step above super juicy, how about Zoey and Aaron raising a child to Luka and (possibly) Ana’s dismay? I mean, the chemistry between the two has always been apparent!

Maybe the writers want to shock us completely and put Jazz (Chloe Bailey) and Doug (Diggy Simmons) in the role of new parents!

Nevertheless, we can only find out the truth in a matter of time, and the entire gang would likely be committed to helping the new parents raise their baby (after the shock dissipates).

Who do you think are the parents of the baby? Will you be tuning in to the Season 3 premiere?

The excitement comes to a head when Season 3 of “Grown-ish” premieres on Freeform on Thursday, January 16!
