ICYMI: 'Ford v. Ferrari', Starring Matt Damon & Christian Bale, Is Racing Into Theatres!

The first trailer for 20th Century Fox's new racing biopic, Ford v. Ferrari, has finally arrived and it could be headed full-throttle for the Oscar’s finish line (sorry, there will be many more car puns to come).

The movie is based on the spectacular true story of Carroll Shelby, an engineer, and Ken Miles, a racecar driver, who joined forces in an effort to beat out Ferrari's racing reign for Ford Motor Company. Set back in 1966, Ford v. Ferrari follows Shelby and Miles’s trials and tribulations as they design a whole new car ahead of the 24 Hours of Le Mans in France. And from the looks of it, it wasn’t all smooth sailing.

What’s even more exciting is that Matt Damon and Christian Bale are behind the wheel of this flick. Damon will be taking on the role of Shelby opposite Bale as Miles, and boy do they make it look fun.

The trailer is full of action, promising to get down and dirty with how these cars were engineered and even featuring a few crash scenes to keep hearts beating. It reminds me of back when Fast and the Furious was just about racing cars. Ah, the good old days...
