It seems that everyone nowadays is looking for "the next 'Game of Thrones'", and Netflix is no different. The streaming giant is betting big on "The Witcher" series to hopefully come close to what the HBO phenomenon accomplished. This popular property started out as a series of short stories and books from author Andrzej Sapkowski. However, its most famous iteration as of late has been the video game series, which has seen 3 successful titles giving gamers a ton of fun. The story revolves around Geralt of Rivia, played by the Man of Steel himself, Henry Cavill. Geralt is a loner monster hunter who is constantly struggling to find his place in a world where people often prove to be more dangerous than the beasts he gets paid to destroy. But then everything changes when destiny has him cross paths with a powerful sorceress and a young princess with a dangerous secret. To survive, the 3 must learn to navigate the increasingly savage landscape together. Bookworms and gamers, prepare yourselves, because "The Witcher" is set to debut on Netflix later this year.
