HIDDEN ON STREAMING: 'Secret Obsession'

Remember London Tipton from "Suite Life of Zack and Cody"? Yes, the ditsy, rich one that gave us a laugh in every episode? Well, she’s back! I mean, not really, but kind of. Brenda Song, who played London Tipton, has a new role and it’s MUCH different than the one we are used to seeing her play.

Brenda Song traded in her expensive handbags and shopping obsession for some thrill and suspense. In Netflix’s new film, Secret Obsession, Brenda Song stars as the leading role and does an amazing job!

The movie is about a woman named Jennifer (Brenda Song) who suffers from a car accident that seems to be a result of her running away from someone who is trying to kill her. You’ll have to find out if that’s true by watching the film for yourself, though. Anyways, Jennifer wakes up in the hospital with amnesia and is released with her husband, who she has no memory of.

The plot is great, right?! That right there should get you to want to close your laptop or lock your phone and stream the film right this moment. Well, it gets better. The entire film keeps you on your toes. WARNING: do not watch this at night, you may not be able to sleep after.

This is like the worst nightmare. Imagine waking up, having no recollection of anything that just happened to you, and then being sent home with a complete stranger! Yeah, no thank you.

Without giving away too many spoilers, Brenda Song’s character gives you so much anxiety. She captures all the fear, stress, and confusion this character should have. Her performance gives you panic attacks while watching.

From the trailer, you can kind of get the hint that her “husband” isn’t exactly who he says he is. Maybe it’s his secret obsession? Whether it is or it isn’t, my secret obsession is how well this movie came out. The suspense is so creepy and you’re constantly wondering what is going to happen next.

Even though Brenda Song will always be one of my favorite Disney Channel characters, I have to say she did an amazing job at starring in a thriller. So, who really is this man that they sent Jennifer home with? Who has a secret obsession and what is the secret obsession? Who was Jennifer running from at the beginning of the film? Will she survive? Ahh so many questions! You need to stream this film immediately to find out!  Just make sure your doors are locked and that you have a few lights on before watching. You’ve been warned.
