First ‘Fast 9’ Trailer Revs Up the Action and Adrenaline!

The pedal will be hitting the metal very soon!

Fast 9, part of the ultra-successful Fast & Furious franchise, will be the latest installment of the film series and it releases this year!

It’s been quite some time since we last saw Dom Toretto and company -- three years, to be exact. Fast 9 will serve as a “sequel” to the 2017 film Fate of the Furious.

As someone who has watched all the Fast & Furious films dating back to the very first one, I must say each film never fails to bring the races, suspense, and firepower! All you F&F fans must be super longing for this film!

I mean, that Hobbs and Shaw movie that released last August is technically part of the film franchise, but it doesn’t feel the same without the original crew!

Check out the new trailer for Fast 9 that dropped during the Super Bowl:

Nobody brings the fire like the Fast & Furious crew!

And wait, was that Han from back in the old F&F days?!

#HANLIVES!!!

Simply put, this new film centers around Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) needing to take down his brother, literally his blood-related malicious brother Jakob (John Cena), with his crew and collection of super-charged vehicles and gadgets. It will certainly be more challenging considering Jakob knows Dom very, very well.

Among the other returning characters include Roman Pearce (Tyrese Gibson), Tej Parker (Ludacris), Letty Ortiz (Michelle Rodriguez), and Mia Toretto (Jordana Brewster). Charlize Theron will also return as Cipher, a villain who is now the accomplice to Jakob. Singer Cardi B. also has a role in the film!

A bit of a disclosure -- the super-loved series will officially conclude next year with one last film scheduled for April 2021. It’s a sad reminder that even the most beloved film series must come to an end. However, it’s truly remarkable that the Fast & Furious story would have lasted twenty years! Also, at least fans get two last chances to enjoy!

Fast 9 zooms onto the big screen Friday, May 22.
