Emma Roberts Gives Those Final Girl Vibes in "American Horror Story: 1984" Trailer!

The premiere date for our favorite horror anthology series is coming up this month and the official trailer has us more excited/scared than ever! "American Horror Story: 1984" will be the show's 9th season and will be released on Wednesday, September 18!

This season looks scary, right?! Did it not give you some '80s horror movie vibes? Well, it should have, because that’s the whole premise. Especially the whole killer being a slasher theme. It gave me bad memories from horror movie classics such as Friday the 13th, Halloween, and Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

Ahh, this gets me so excited. I LOVE '80s horror films. So, to make a series that pays tribute to those movies is right up my alley. The new season takes place at a summer camp where a group of camp counselors are going on a trip to Camp Redwood for the summer, but there is obviously a twist. Mr. Shingles, AKA the serial killer AKA a hooded slasher, is on the loose.

Just from viewing the trailer, we can see who the main cast is. Obviously, we have Emma Roberts. What would another "American Horror Story" season be without her? I mean, come on. Then we see Billie Lourd, Cody Fern, and... Olympic skiier Gus Kenworthy?!

Horror films are already scary enough; imagine watching a show where you have to wait an entire week to see what happens next?! The suspense build up is going to kill us! Plus, it's "American Horror Story", so you know it is going to take you for a ride.

Ok, Ok, Ok, I think I’ve mentioned that I am an '80s horror film fan already, but are you? If so, you know how they ALL end -- with the killer and one character. And, that character is always the sweet, innocent female lead. She’s smart and usually a virgin, unlike the other characters. The question all of us have after watching the trailer is, will this show end the same way? If so, is Emma Roberts THAT character?? Ugh, I sure hope so; it'll be so great to see her playing the Nice Girl for a change, right?
