Dwayne Johnson & Emily Blunt Bring Thrills & Laughs In Trailer For Disney's 'Jungle Cruise'!

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is embarking on another adventure!

Along with his upcoming film Jumanji: The Next Level, the seasoned actor will also be starring in the Disney film Jungle Cruise!

Jungle Cruise -- based loosely on the iconic Disney theme park ride of the same name -- revolves around Lily Houghton (Emily Blunt) and McGregor Houghton (Jack Whitehall), two siblings who aim to unearth the Tree of Life in the deep trenches of the Amazon. The special tree is said to have mystical healing abilities, among other wonders. Assisting the siblings is riverboat operator Frank (Johnson), who uses his finesse to guide the explorers through the untamed nature of the thick Amazon. Essentially, the trio takes a riverboat cruise through the jungle, as the movie's title implies. Though initially not signing up for a massive adventure, the guide and his passengers become immersed in an expedition that is filled with its fair share of obstacles and competition.

During D23 Expo in August, both Johnson and Blunt surprised fans during Disney's feature film panel by introducing not one but TWO different trailers, each highlighting their respective characters. Now, they have met in the middle for an official trailer that shows off both of them!

The Rock has sure got some jokes! The visual splendor was on full display in the trailer of this highly-anticipated film, and it provided only a tiny glimpse of the action that is awaiting in the movie.

The voyage in Jungle Cruise is based on the existing riverboat rides at Disney Theme Parks, such as the ones in Tokyo, Hong Kong, Anaheim, and Orlando! This is not the only representation the attraction has had in the media, as it has been referenced in a couple of songs additionally. The film also stars Paul Giamatti and Jesse Plemons.

Jungle Cruise sails into theaters July 24, 2020.

July seems endlessly far away, but stay tuned for any other Jungle Cruise updates in the meantime!
