In 2012, Miley Cyrus started posting “backyard sessions” on her YouTube channel. In these jam sessions, Miley invited her band to help cover some of her favorite songs. One of the best covers that came out of these sessions was “Jolene”. Originally performed by Dolly Parton, “Jolene” is a classic country song made even more popular by the amount of people who’ve covered it. In her own cover, pre-"Wrecking Ball" Miley offers a soulful rendition of the classic hit, complete with a banjo and her long brown locks.
