6. "American Horror Story" -- Season 1, Episode 5: “Halloween, Part 2”
In a 2-part Halloween-themed special, "American Horror Story" Season 1 (now called "Murder House") brought the magic of the horror genre to the small screen. To me, the second part is superior because it focuses on the ever-complicated romance of Violet and the ghost of Tate. In the episode, we learn of Tate’s dark past and why his soul will never be able to leave the murder house. He also comes face to face with the people whose lives he ruined. This episode is full of scares, and both Part 1 and 2 deserve re-watching in time for the Halloween season.
