5 Albums to Spookify Your Next Halloween Party!
Written by Kevin Norman. Published: October 24 2019
4. The Original Monster Mash - Bobby “Boris” Pickett, The Crypt-Kickers
“The Monster Mash” began after Pickett made a Boris Karloff impression at a gig, and his bandmate convinced him to ride the monster craze of the late-'50s. They took the dance crazes of the time and Pickett’s impersonations and created the iconic song that defined his career. The album is full of fun Halloween doo-wop songs about monsters, ghouls, and mad scientists!
BONUS: Check out this funky remake of "The Monster Mash" by none other than Bootsy Collins, which just dropped yesterday!
