4 Reasons You Should Be Watching "iZombie"!

If you haven't started watching “iZombie” yet, then it's time to get onboard!

The second season of the hit CW series just got underway, and it’s not too late to get in the loop. The show, based on a DC comic book series, revolves around Liv (Liv... "live"... get it??), a doctor who turns into a zombie after a boat party incident. YIKES! She now works in the coroner’s office to get access to delicious brains.

Here are 4 Reasons why you should be watching “iZombie” (possible spoilers ahead)!

1. Storyline

What I love about this series is that, in the backdrop of the show, there is an ongoing story that is always explored every week in addition to the standalone storylines covered in each individual episode. There's closure, but there's also a sense of a story still unfolding. Every week, Liv solves a death by eating a dead body's brain. She then sees that person's memories while also inheriting some of their personality traits.

2. Phenomenal Cast

This cast is one of my favorites on television right now. In addition to star Rose McIver, we also have Robert Buckley, Malcolm Goodwin, Aly Michalka, David Anders, and Rahul Kohli. I must say that Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti (Kohli) does a great job of balancing the serious with the comedic, and who doesn’t love Robert Buckley? I know I do! They work incredibly well together and are quite funny on and off screen. Check out these awesome videos they made for the countdown for season two!

And peep this funny clip of the cast; makes you want to be their in their squad!

3. Crime Solving Zombie!

The show has a great murder mystery aspect, as Liv is always working with Clive, the police detective, to solve crimes and murders. She is using what she has become to help others. Somewhat of a twist on your typical zombie story.

4. Enough Said.

The show is amazing. The creators, Diane Ruggiero and Rob Thomas, have made a series that is unlike anything on television right now. Well done!

If you haven’t started watching the show, what are you waiting for? "iZombie" has it all! You can binge-watch the first season on Netflix right now and then check out Season 2 on Tuesdays at 9pm on The CW. You won’t regret it.

In the meantime, check out our chat with Liv herself, Rose McIver!
