2023 Summer Style Guide!

Written by Ahshara Colon. Published: June 29 2023

I can imagine it now -- a nice beach, maybe a mojito, a nice book, a summer tan… Summer is finally here, and what better way to get excited for Summer than to get a few new pieces for your closet?! Here are a few trends you may want to consider adding to your wardrobe this Summer to update your style!

1. Sheer Dresses & Slips

See-through fabrics make for great layering and a little extra cover on Summer's hottest days and make “sheer” a great Summer trend. Maybe something to be used as a swimsuit cover-up or throw on a slightly breezy morning? Sheer is the way to go!

2. Tube Tops

Tube tops are not only cute but they are also functional, especially for the Summer with heat that sometimes feels like it sticks to your body. Free your arms and shoulder of fabric for a cute and cooler way of style!

3. Chiffon

Chiffon is gorgeous and it’s also lightweight. That’s exactly what’s needed over the Summer. A cute top or bottom blowing lightly in the wind will have you feeling like you’re in the clouds. So bring on the chiffon!

4. Sparkly Lurex

Oooh, sparkles! Sparkles are always a nice addition, but with lurex, it’s not too overpowering -- it’s just the right amount of glitter to add a little pizazz to your outfit.

5. Purple

Purple comes in so many different shades and hues, it’s almost impossible to go wrong with incorporating it into your wardrobe this Summer. Pick a gorgeous lilac or a deep royal purple and you’ll still slay!

6. Florals

Florals? For Spring? Groundbreaking. Florals for Summer? Classic! Florals always add a whimsical effect to anything, making you feel like you might just actually live in a fairytale (unless you have allergies). Luckily, even if you have allergies, a floral pattern in your wardrobe will probaby be the best way for you to enjoy them. Pick a flower, any flower, and have fun!

7. Asymetric Hemline

When it comes to design, it’s always interesting when designers switch up the norm. So this Summer, we’ve got hemlines that might feature a dramatic slit or something more subtle.

Have fun styling this Summer!
