Zoe Kravitz unveiled as the new face of YSL Beauty
Actress Zoe Kravitz has been announced as the new face of Ysl Beauty.
The 27-year-old Divergent and X-Men: First Class star was unveiled as the designer brand's latest muse on Tuesday (03May16), just a day after Zoe tagged the company while she was preparing for the Met Gala in New York and in red carpet social media posts.
The star will join British models Cara Delevingne and Edie Campbell
as YSL girls, and L'Oreal International Designer Collections
Division's president Alexandre Choueiri has explained why Zoe is
the perfect choice to be the face for the company.
"Zoe is not afraid to stand up for what she believes," he said,
according to Racked.com. "We love her confidence and authenticity
as much as we admire her kindness, humility and deep respect for
individuality. In addition to her incredible talent as an artist,
Zoe's inner and outer beauty truly represents today's modern
woman.
"As a YSL Beauty muse, Zoe represents the brand's vision of beauty,
appealing to women of all ethnicities to become empowered through
style and beauty."
The news is just the latest in a growing list of high end
endorsements which Zoe has been involved with.
The daughter of rocker Lenny Kravitz and actress Lisa Bonet
previously starred in Balenciaga's spring campaign earlier this
year (16), and she also featured in a campaign for Calvin Klein
alongside her mother back in January.
The actress' partnership with YSL Beauty will include social media
campaigns, and she'll also star in an upcoming short film, titled
Before the Light, which will focus on Zoe, the rock star, as she
prepares to take the stage with her band Lolawolf.
