British rockers You Me At Six have postponed their upcoming tour due to a health crisis affecting singer Josh Franceschi.

The band was due to kick off a series of U.S. and Canadian dates in Los Angeles on Monday (21Apr14), but the tour has now been called off. The shows will be rescheduled for the autumn (14).

No details have been given about Franceschi's illness, but the singer apologized to fans for the postponement of the tour and revealed he had been placed on vocal rest.

In a message posted on Instagram.com, he writes, "North America tour postponement: So the lads and I... regretfully have to postpone our Spring tour until September/October due to my current health. All started the eve of our London headline show and I managed to get through some radio and TV commitments recently, but that's where my luck has run out. I want to express my disappointment in letting all our fans on that side of the world down. The tour is being postponed, not canceled...

"Again, I apologize to our fans and the other four lads in YMAS for letting you down, at this time I have to look after my health and be on voice rest. Please do your best to understand. Love, Josh."
