Pop star will.i.am shocked fans by performing a whole DJ set using a smartwatch he is launching.

The Black Eyed Peas star was attending Connections 2014, an event to exhibit digital innovation, to show off his creation and shock onlookers with his hi-tech trick.

He told the audience in Indianapolis, Indiana that the watch was not linked to a phone as he controlled his DJ decks using the device and performed his hit This is Love.

Fans flooded Twitter.com with compliments after the stunt, describing the rapper as "this generation's Einstein" and a "genius".
