Will.i.am lucked out with Jagger collaboration

will.i.am landed his new song with Sir Mick Jagger by a fluke after record bosses asked him to name his dream guest vocalist - and the rapper was stunned when the Rolling Stones legend agreed.

The Black Eyed Peas star listed Jagger as a possible collaborator for his track T.H.E (The Hardest Ever) and was stunned when his producer managed to recruit the British rocker.

The rapper explains, "I went to play it for the label and they're like, 'Yo, this is dope. Who are you gonna put on it?' So I think of the hardest thing ever. And it happened! Mick Jagger. I just wanted to throw something out there so they'd stop asking me."

Jennifer Lopez also contributed vocals to the track, which will feature on will.i.am's upcoming solo album #willpower.
