Whitney Houston's daughter gets tattoo in mum's honour
Whitney Houston's teenage daughter commemorated her mum's birthday on Thursday (09Aug12) by getting a tattoo in the late singer's memory.
Bobbi Kristina Brown, the superstar's daughter with Bobby Brown, visited a body art parlour in Atlanta, Georgia late on Wednesday (08Aug12) - ahead of what would have been her mother's 49th birthday - to have the initials WH and four doves inked on her wrist.
She took to her Twitter.com page to tell followers about her plans
for the poignant day, writing, "Mommy it's your birthday & I am
going 2 (to) celebrate it 2 the fullest! Bc (because) YOU deserve
it damn it, YOU deserve Nothing but the BEST!"
The 19 year old's boyfriend Nick Gordon, who was informally adopted
by Houston when he was 12, had the same tribute tattooed on his
wrist, and Bobbi Kristina tweeted a photo of their matching designs
for fans.
She added, "Tat tat tatted... now your (sic) truly ALWAYS with us
mommy... We love you always & forever... rip mommy. Oh how I love u
so; I'll NEVER Let U GO."
R&B singer Brandy also remembered the late I Will Always Love
You hitmaker with a post on Twitter, writing, "Happy Birthday to
the GREATEST VOICE OF ALL TIME!! Whitney Houston, you are the
dream!!! You are the inspiration!! You are MY ANGEL!"
Jordin Sparks, who stars alongside Houston in upcoming movie
Sparkle, adds, "Happy Birthday Whitney! I can't wait 4 (sic)
everyone to see you Sparkle on August 17! I love you & miss you so
much!"
Houston died on 11 February (12) at a hotel in Beverly Hills.
